Can't afford it, FFP. The club will stick with Coco the clown and his sidekick as they're the cheapest option and will save the club a good million.
Are you fishing? We've spend millions in other areas, of course we can afford a keeper.

I've never really rated him, not because of that mistake last night (or the others in cup games) but I just don't feel I can trust that he will make crucial saves like PIG does. Also he doesn't command his area and he doesn't give the defenders any confidence. The defence last night were very jittery around the area, whether that was due to lack of confidence in him or whether Hull were that good, but I was hiding behind the sofa every time the ball came near him, and that's not what you should be feeling from your keeper!

I think it's time for Brezovan to go to pastures new, and if management think he is better than Ankregren, then it should be time for him to go as well. Sorry guys but you've had your chances over the years and it hasn't worked out.

He didn't play against Arsenal, that was Casper and we didn't lost because of him - we lost because Arsenals subs were too strong for us.

But don't let that stop the over the top abuse......

Yes , sorry it was Casper but similar situation . The 3 goals were good goals but not unstoppable .

I am sorry but I used to play county league in goal and I would of been slated if I let the first goal in like that without any effort , the second I would of been expected to come out to as it was floated in , a keeper should always have control near or in his 6 yard box , the keeper has the best view from incoming balls and where it ended up it should of been his even if he does get clattered .

As I said I don't ever slate or boo a Brighton player but even now I feel so pissed off , I , like every one else wanted to progress in the cup , play Sunderland and may be have a trip to Wembley , guess we will have another try next year .

I don't think its as simple as going "Brezovan was/wasn't at fault for this goal."

Obviously a key part of a 'keepers job is making saves, but its not the only part. Out of the defence we played yesterday Upson, Ward and Ince are all regulars, and you could make a solid case for Calderon being first choice too. However, they looked lost a lot of the time. Although Dunk played well, we missed Greer's leadership but we also missed PIG. Having faith in the goalkeeper behind you is a massive boost to the whole defensive unit. What a lot of people overlook is the excellent job Kuszczak does at organising the defence. His communication is superb and you can tell players feel safer knowing they've got him behind them.

Brezovan isn't good enough for the level we're at, but putting him in to a defence which is already missing its leader was always going to make his job harder. If he'd been the only defensive change then he probably wouldn't have looked quite as out of his depth as he did. Kuszczak - Greer - Crofts. The spine of our team was missing last night, and when we found ourselves 1-0 down, the lack of leaders on the pitch (bar Upson) was obvious to see.

Fair point, well made. I think there s a lot in that argument, and tbh I too do not think Pete's talents match the aspirations of the club. However I will say that in the previous three cup games I thought he had solid games and that he had earned his place in the cup side.

We were glad of Brezovan last December when Tomas & Casper were both injured. We had Walton on the bench. Typical fans where you're only as good as your last game!

Brighton / Hove actually
The whole team will know they were.responsible for that dreadful first half...we the fans blame one man

Not at all, we started well, and then played like any other team who lost confidence in their keeper, and who needed extra protection for the rest of the half.

Their second goal should not have counted and we did well to get back into the game, to the point of almost believing we could have got the equaliser.

None of the players did much wrong in my eyes and they all gave 100%.

The crux of the matter is that the ball Davis headed in should gave been the keepers either to catch or at the worst punch but Brezovan just chased it around the 6 yd box and was nowhere near to it.

must of been watching different match to me , 1st half was the worse performance of the season , second half was better , but not by much , no passion , no tempo , hardly any shots at goal , hull were still in 2nd gear for most of the match

All the while Brez and Ankergren are the back-up, we might as well field 11 outfield players in those games where Garcia won't select Kuszczak.

Brezovan has played in a few games this season and done a decent job. He isn't as good as Kucsczak, who is in the top 5 keepers in the league, but a decent understudy. Not many clubs have a back up keeper as good as him.

I'm shocked at the hounding he has received from one error, when we should have gone through from the first match but unfortunately we don't convert enough of the extensive amount of chances we create. If we converted just 25% of our chances we'd be going up automatically

Have a look at what Jones said about our first half performance....lets hope we can sort it out on saturday

Opportunity to get the last eight of the cup and we play reserve players, can someone explain why we would do that?..

For the tinted specs brigade

Get real, can you not see that the club and the manager lack any real ambition, last nights team selection proved that beyond all doubt.
What sort of idiot rests our first choice goalkeeper with the chance to get to fa cup quarter finals?
It's not like goalkeepers are exhausted after every game like outfield players is it?..
