Fair point but for me personally any delay risks the possibility of not actually leaving. If I had more trust that those bitterly opposed to leaving - the Gina Miller's of the world - wouldn't use a delay to try and prevent an eventual leaving then I'd be happy for a extension. Unfortunately, the previous parliament, the likes of Gina Miller and the campaign for a "People's Vote" suggest to me we need to leave ASAP as they can't be trusted to accept us leaving.

Where's Bill Murray when you need him ! It's about leaving an organisation that has morphed from a trading block to close to a 'United States of Europe' without authorisation from the UK voters. It's about said organisation gradually centralising control rather than, as the UK is doing, devolving power and decisions more locally. You can paint it as xenophobia, racism, hate of immigration etc as much as you like but you are wrong. I'll accept there maybe a number of people that voted for it around those topics but it's a broad generalisation to suggest that WAS the issue for EVERYONE.

Not sure what you mean by 'levelling up' so couldn't use it as an argument anyway. The past few governments have devolved, albeit slowly, decisions to the Welsh and Scottish governments. A good example is that they can produce their own Covid-19 rules and not follow those for England if they wish. The Irish government has also just been re-convened. More places are now allowed to vote for a mayor who can make local decisions. Is THIS government for more devolved power ? No real evidence one way or the other ( and I didn't specify this government ) but it has certainly been the direction of travel over the past 20 years or so. When Labour win the next GE I suspect even more powers will be devolved - and so they should.

I think what the Tories mean by levelling up is basically "levelling", ie what will happen to the Nissan site and other major manufacturing plants after they impose economic sanctions on Britain with their wreckless Brexit

Love the choice of the word 'When'. I think you mean the 'Northern Irish Executive' (you could get into a bit of trouble with your wording in certain bars in Belfast). Take your points but it doesn't add up to much TBH - we are still one of the more centralized states in Europe.
'Levelling up' is pretty meaningless. Agreed.

I can understand Gina Miller irritating Brexiters but the level of vitriol is surprising. All she did was bring to the British courts' attention her belief that our government was breaking the law. The judiciary confirmed that she was correct. You say that she did this only to further her own personal success. Can you explain how?

You mention Nigel Farage. One sunny day last weekend, 137,000 people demonstrated on Britsh streets. The was misbehaviour no doubt but of the 137,000, one apparently vandalised the Cenotaph. Farage rushed for Twitter, tremblingly furious as he brought the nation's attention to the actions of one pathetic little oik. THAT is being a media whore.

Yeap she just stood up a government that wanted to bypass parliament. Brexiters did their nut, but they should thank her, ultimately she stood up for all of us, a victory for all of us
