What is this "European way of life" of which she speaks? Does that mean that we no longer have a British / English "way of life"?

I'm serious. I have absolutely no bloody idea what constitutes a "European way of life".

For the last 70 years, it's meant just getting on with stuff like living, working, learning, getting laid, having kids etc without having to worry that we could all be at each other's throats a week on Wednesday.

But that doesn't mean we no longer have a British/English way of life, because life is not just a series of incompatible binary alternatives.

So now is parliament's chance to make a decision. Recall parliament, postpone the conference season and sit day and night from today onwards to find a solution to this national crisis.

The most important thing is to get Johnson in front of the liaison committee as he was supposed to today, so that he can be properly questioned without the all the shouting that comes with PMQs, to see if he has any real answers.

He wasn't convicted of lying to the Queen - the court found he was "attempting to prevent Parliament holding the government to account ahead of Brexit. ". That is not treason and as it is, it's a subjective opinion of the court. The Supreme Court will over rule it.

It started in Scotland earlier (I think), because the English Courts were in recess.

This Scotland judgement is an appeal... it's slightly further ahead.

To be fair the Daily Mail has never changed their views on this. They backed the Nazis in the 30s. The first thing they did was crush democracy and ignore the courts.

Surely if closing Parliament for 5-weeks was in any way pre-determined in order to prevent the Government from being held to account regarding Brexit and this wasn't made clear to the Queen at the time (rather just normal everyday nothing to see here lets have a Queen's speech), then that would be a case of misleading/lying to Brenda.
