As my mother always used to say: "It will all come out in the wash".

The whole situation is so farcical, I just don't know how anybody can take any of it seriously any more. We have had two conservative Prime Ministers in a row who have just made a right royal mess of everything. Can anyone now take them at all as the natural party of government , which is what they always purported to be. They are not on the side of business. They are not on the side of the people. Whose side are they on?

I would say 4 Tory Prime Ministers as it was Eurosceptics who rounded on Thatcher and certainly stuck the knife into Major.

At least that referendum would technically be honouring the first result but I wouldn't support it because as everyone agreed before the vote there was only ever meant to be one. Plus the likely split in leave voter preferences while most remain voters would pile on the Norway option would make the whole process a foregone conclusion anyway.

Speaking of subjective it's only your opinion we haven't had a clear, informed, honest ratification ... who gets to decide what is a clear, informed, honest ratification? From what I can see it's mainly remainers who are insisting we vote again.

On the contrary, many analysts, politicians and voters know there was fraudulent activity, general ignorance (of the implications of the choices offered) and widespread misinformation.

You have assumed that the only response to this mess advocated by me is another vote. It is one way forward but not the only one.

Sorry 'bringer of truth' but you should accept that you are more entrenched in your opinion than most.... including me!

A number of MPs reckon with small tweaks at least one of the options will go through. They’re FAR more popular than Theresa May’s Deal, so certainly worth persisting with.

they are not far more popular, the votes in favour of the options are about the same give or take 10-20 votes.

but they have rejected firmly the option to give themselve the power to stop no-deal/revoke article 50. so they are insisting that leaving will happen, but cant/wont decide on how.

i suggest a mass boycott at the next GE as clearly they dont have the courage of their convictions.

It's true. They are correct.

Productivity appears to be low, but is that for the numbers supposed to be in employment? If they didn't bullshit the employment figures, it might not look so bleak. It is also taking a problem of low productivity (a fact, even if a distorted one) and giving the cause as idleness of workers, which is a supposition. Perhaps if we had the Working Time Directive in force and people were not working more than 40 hours a week, they might be more productive per hour, an idea that has some evidence to support it.

you're counting the majority, im counting the actual votes made. dont you think it significant more MP voted in favor of the leave deal than either the custom union or common market 2.0? i know the cabinet abstain but there are alot of other MP seem to not want to back any option and shirk responsibility.
