That's right - the ease in which our government has lined up these mega trade deals with Fiji and the Faroes, has well and truly put that 'whopper' to bed.

Sunlit uplands ahoy.

It's quite handy though because I'm currently down to my last Faroe, so the deal couldn't have come at a better time.

The government's incompetence has no bearing on the fact nations across the world prosper and succeed outside Political Unions.

Bloody Worthing!
The biggest con of all being the UK can only prosper and succeed inside the EU. Numerous vested interests have been peddling that whopper for ages.

Fair enough; ignore the likes of the CBI and TUC if you will. But how about a vision of what the UK might look like in say 3 or 5 years time after the Brexit process? Here are some prompts but feel free to add your own good news items. What will our pattern of international trade look like? How will our public services fare? How about agriculture when we are free from the shackles of the CAP? Will our universities be flourishing? Where will economic growth come from? Will the NHS get its Brexit bonus funding? Will SMEs pick up any slack in the economy? Can we solve the UK productivity problems? Will there be a rebalancing of the economy regionally? Will worker and consumer protection be improved? Will we attract a higher calibre of immigrant?

The thrust of the Brexiteer's arguments don't go much beyond:

a) so called project fear was wrong last time so it'll be wrong again
b) the UK economy is doing better currently than most thought it would (OK, especially Remainers)

So - what is there for us to look forward to after Brexit? Let's have a bit of inspiration. Please?

Not outside of trading blocs they don't. And we are willingly relinquishing our place in the biggest of the lot.

We have a trading bloc on ice. We just need to bring back the British (sic English Empire)

Its a thought. Sadly, I don't imagine that any of our former Imperial 'partners' will agree to trade with us on the original terms...

Well you ignore the 29.1 million fellow citizens who didn't want to leave.

That is a ridiculous argument. If that was the case no Government would ever change as more people don't vote against it. If you don't vote, you don't count them the rules

They may well not count.

However, an MP has an obligation to act in the best interests of all their constituents, even those that don't count.

So the MP exercises a judgement what that best interest is.

This is glaringly missed of course when simplistic declarations are made that an MP is duty bound to act only for the majority of their constituents that do 'count'.

Nigel's getting rattled.

Anna Soubry nails it when she says he's the ultimate member of the political elite.

Additionally he personifies what's wrong with politics and debate in this country. Shouting over people and persistently peddling lies and mistruths.
