Seriously?

Switzerland.

It is also somewhat tied to the EU by a series of bilateral agreements:

Free movement of people
Air traffic
Road traffic
Agriculture
Technical trade barriers
Public procurement
Science
Security and asylum and Schengen membership
Cooperation in fraud pursuits
Final stipulations in open questions about agriculture, environment, media, education, care of the elderly, statistics and services.

Way closer than the Brexiteer loons want to and yes they still have a border as well.

Got stopped there last month because my Swiss hire had been recently fitted with a fresh set of tyres and they thought they'd been put on in France where they are a lot cheaper. Was stuck there for 10 minutes explaining...

We have a trading bloc on ice. We just need to bring back the British (sic English Empire)

Day 1 at the post-Brexit "Get the Empire back together" meeting

UK: "Hey guys, we're back. Who wants to trade?"
Australia: "Actually we're in the middle of doing a trade deal with the EU, but we'll definitely get back to you once we're done there."
India: "Sorry, too busy being the one of the biggest growing economies around, maybe you can host some of our call centres though?"
Malta: "Um...lads? You know that EU you just left? Well we didn't..."
Ireland: "You've got to be ****ing kidding?"
Pakistan: "Sorry can't hear you over our simmering hatred of India."
South Africa: "African Union says what?"
Canada: "Actually we're doing just fine with this EU deal, and we're doing a US one, so..."
Fiji: "Yeah, maybe."

They are not in a political Union which is what you were talking about.

EFTA has most of the tenets of one, though. It might not be an outright political union but it takes it's rules from one it doesn't participate in.

The government's incompetence has no bearing on the fact nations across the world prosper and succeed outside Political Unions.

Not trading blocs though. Indeed the list of countries which are not in any sort of trading bloc is very short, and not one I'd want to be associated with.

I wouldn't quite say May's speech was that of a facist but it was close, more that of an authoritarian. Horrendous woman that first tried to silence parliament and now tries to turn the populus against them.

She really need to give up and get a job at the Daily Mail

I think what India actually said was, sure happy to trade, but we want greater freedom of movement.

If I were in that team my preparation would be lock the door and swallow the key.

The sticking point seems to be when nominations for MEPs go in. There have been suggestions the date could be April 11th.

Weird attitude as due to the vote, unless things change, we will be leaving. There will be no leavers nor remainers. Just us. And yet in your posts you seem to relish harm happening to the UK if it's outside of the EU.
