It's a rhetorical question. Sorry to be too oblique. To put it more simply, virtually all the posts about Brexit on this message board are talking about money, money, money. Nothing else (at least re. Brexit) has been important at all, just money. It's a money obsession. My rhetorical question was expressing surprise that someone had raised a Brexit issue that wasn't about money, though of course later posts proved that it was a money-money-money issue after all.

So more whataboutism but still no answer to what Brexit was meant to be about ? It's just as well I'm patient, I've been waiting six years for a Brexit Benefit.

Well, there was the infamous Tampon tax, that was being donated to charity anyway, and that Ireland, despite being in the EU, never charged

So what are you prepared to do about it, voting to remain will only increase the capitalist free for all that you so often rail against?

Any institution that is secretly creating trade deals like TTIP are the enemy of the workers (and democracy) it is refreshing to see that many of your German compatriots understand this dynamic and are prepared to get out on the streets to protest. Little Deutchslanders as you would refer to them I suspect.

I would back scrapping any overly prescriptive rules that don’t work effectively, a position shared to a greater or lesser extent by the EU itself, who implemented those rules.

I don’t think scrapping the rules is contradictory with supporting Brexit either. With respect to the U.K. it has long been the adult in the room on financial services, and it should set its rules to generate the most tax revenue so that there is more money to be redistributed.

Proportionality is the key, which is a concept I know you won’t understand. Tinkling the bed on the other hand……..well there is your speciality.

i'd much rather have the German banking system, more smaller localised banks that are for the benefit of the people and business rather than allowing London to be the bankers Casino of Europe with so much power they care little for the people, making it difficult to get a mortgage and businesses being destroyed by extortionate refinancing rates, not to mention London being the place where Putin hides all his dirty money.
