Out of interest why are they limited?

If I write it slowly maybe you will understand. The person I was replying to said 'we only have a limited number of negotiators'.As we have done very little,if any, negotiating on trade in the last 40 years, their knowledge would be very limited. The EU are supposed to negotiate trade deals for members, but seem much better at embargos than deals-at least 36 countries at the last count, including the USA!

EU bans claim that water can prevent dehydration

Brussels bureaucrats were ridiculed yesterday after banning drink manufacturers from claiming that water can prevent dehydration.

EU officials concluded that, following a three-year investigation, there was no evidence to prove the previously undisputed fact.

Producers of bottled water are now forbidden by law from making the claim and will face a two-year jail sentence if they defy the edict, which comes into force in the UK next month.

WTF??? How much of taxpayers money went into this 3 YEAR investigation by 21 scientists??

Well, that didn't seem to take very long at all, did it? (obviously the value of shares can still, as always, go down as well as up!)

FTSE250 rising for the fourth day in a row... from Monday's close just below 15,000 to present position of 16,420.

This is higher than in the weeks running up to the referendum, and only a little way short of its average position since March this year (since the recovery from last dip in February).

The markets don't appear to be too unhappy at present.

FTSE 100 posts biggest weekly rise since 2011 amid signs of post-Brexit stimulus

Is the best outcome of this farce to leave but take a Norway trade deal with access to the common market and free movement but free us to trade directly with rest o the world. This allows us to deal directly with India and other markets the EU have thus far no agreed deals with

No is the answer because we are not Norway with due respect to them. We are a far more important trading partner/market for the EU which is still tentatively recovering from the 2008 crisis and faces ongoing Eurozone instability.

It is disappointing to see some remainers who talked down our status/importance for referendum campaigning reasons continuing the line after they lost the vote. Time to move on.

If anything will take this country down in the end it will be the constant negativity from people and scare stories from the media. Today we have another march in London. People need to calm down, we have not even left the EU yet.

No, but clearly and I admit things could get far worse yet, the drop is barely noticeable in the grand scheme of things..

not liking old people seems to be a common trait and the brexit vote is the stirrings of fascism in this country.........apparently

All these idiots whinging seem to be right geeky socialist types who have zero backbone and crumble under any major change to society.
If these idiots had it their way I'd dread to think what this country would be like as I don't think they have an ounce of patriotism in them.

Another protest today and they're all the same types and proper weak people who've barely even seen any kind of hard times like most of us.

I take it you read the part about FTSE 250?

Quite. It will also be other economic indicators such as the value of the pound and GDP growth which will indicate the impact of Brexit more closely I think?

I doubt the people who are consistently negative or have reacted in a hysterical manner will ever really accept the democratic will of the majority or be prepared to admit Brexit may not be that bad after all.

Everything bad that happens in the coming years will be blamed on Brexit and anything vaguely positive will be down to events beyond our control or luck :D
