Quite an Interesting range of coping strategies from the usual suspects attempting to process this positive economic news for UK plc .... one flounce, a few insults and a sudden interest when people post after a match.

Well done everyone! :lolol:

Gods country fortnightly
I have friends who are directly and adversly affected by Brexit. The irony is that many are normally Tory voters, but no longer. You on the other hand trawl the net trying to find crumbs of evidence to back up your limp argument, which btw do not represent the wider picture. The data does not back your argument. You need to face up to the fact the Boris and his Brexit brigade pulled down your trousers, bent you over the table and shagged the last ounce of self respect out of you. Not a pleasant thought as I’ve just eaten.

Well done everyone! :lolol:

You are choosing the Brexit thread to publish an article about a little bit of positive news on the recovery from Covid which you would hope for, given the article says

Unprecedented events including coronavirus and the Russian invasion had seen “the biggest fall in GDP ever” and the fastest price rises in four decades, McLaren explained.

Together with a few quotes from the cabal chancellor Jeremy Hunt saying that he's 'feeling positive' :lolol:

Maybe you should feedback on some of the expected Brexit Benefits on the Brexit Thread

Regaining the power to vote out the people who enact the policies/laws effecting our lives. Regaining full control over immigration. Decreasing demand on housing by limiting immigration. Boosting exports with a competitive pound? Increased job opportunities - see limiting immigration. Retaining some individual British identity - see immigration. Regaining the primacy of UK law so we can deport terrorist campaigners when we see fit. Regaining the power to trade with some of the biggest and fastest growing economies in the world - quality goods at cheaper prices? Improved services in the country as we can plan for the likely demand - see immigration. Regain a bit of self respect so we prove the public aren't going to be bullied manipulated by big business/political establishment. Regain a spine to show we aren't afraid of change and have faith in this country to succeed without being subservient to the EU political project ... just like the vast majority of countries around the world.

Benefits of staying in - we might be a bit better off in 10,20,30 years time if you believe forecasters with huge vested interests who can't even correctly predict 1 year in advance.

You know, this sort of stuff :dunce:

He always makes half a dozen posts about football each time he sets up another account to fool the mods into thinking it's a genuine account (which surprisingly appears to work every time ???) Then years and thousands of trolling posts without any further mention of football, the Albion, or indeed, any other subject on the Whole Board. And it is strange as I'm sure he must have other things going on in his life, but never seems to mention any of them

Complete silence throughout matches, transfer windows, European draws and any other discussions whatsoever

But it's certainly not set up for page after page of pure and simple trolling - no siree

*update*

Further to the above ... Pretend the fact the UK economy performed considerably better than previously thought isn't particularly important, pretend the performance of the UK economy outside the EU suddenly has no bearing on the debate on the economic impact of Brexit because the facts don't suit a UK outlier economic clusterf**** narrative. Start prattling on about multi accounts for the 1000th time (see trolling).

All entirely predictable ...

You’re the nsc equivalent of the middle aged bloke who sits on his own at the bar in the local pub. You know the guy, divorced so tries to chat the young girls in the mistaken belief that he’s gods gift to women. The guy who gives his ‘wisdom’ to all, regardless of whether anyone wants to hear it. The guy who has an almost god like ability to be wrong about almost everything. The guy who thinks hek’s funny but is cringeworthy unfunny. The guy who looks down at everyone else in the mistaken belief that everyone wishes they were him. In reality everyone else is saying ’ if I end up like that please f***ing shoot me’.

All entirely predictable and amusing I agree. I have no issues with posters who aren't brave enough and don't have the balls (Big Balls) to actually take responsibility for what they do (quote from one of the great Italian philosophers). I simply find people posting and then running away and trying and pretend it was someone else amusing :lolol:

Now obviously you are a brand new poster, with no previous accounts, so what do you think of this post outlining the benefits of Brexit and why do you think this account doesn't post anymore

I am glad we can agree, your attempts to continually deflect from the positive economic news is entirely understandable as it comprehensively disproves what you have been saying for a number of years (Brexit has caused an economic cluster****) and you haven't the character or honesty to admit you were wrong. To be fair you were not the only one..

Back again for more with an article from an ERG backed journal that says Brexit is a good idea :lolol:

So what do you think of this post outlining the benefits of Brexit and why do you think this account doesn't post anymore

I keep seeing this thread bounced to the top and wondering if there’s anything new to engage with, but it’s always just that individual who won’t answer direct questions and specialises in whataboutery. They seem to have gone nova.

Honestly, trolls fade away when you stop feeding them. It’s the reactions they get to their bad takes that keep them coming back for more.

It'll be interesting to see whether the whole "it's Covid, not Brexit" defence manages to hang around if, once Covid recedes, EU nations come bouncing back while we're still stuck in a lorry park in Kent

Defence rests m'lud ..

This week’s radical revisions to the UK’s Covid-era data have destroyed many recent narratives about its economy.

Rather than Britain still producing fewer goods and services than before the pandemic, the Office for National Statistics figures show that UK gross domestic product exceeded that benchmark in late 2021.

And instead of the UK being a global outlier, marked by its feeble economic recovery from the pandemic, the new data shows it to be in the middle of the G7 pack, roughly equal with France and ahead of Germany

As I'm sure you are aware, the radical revisions are the ONS changing the way the figures are calculated from this month, which shows some good news on recovering from some of the worst Covid figures but even more bad news on Brexit which had been underestimated up until now

From your article

For example, according to the previous data, the gross value added to the economy by agriculture increased by 11.7 per cent between the date of the Brexit referendum in 2016 and the end of 2021. Yet the new data shows a contraction of 7 per cent. And this is by no means the biggest change.

Basic iron and steel manufacturing increased by 56 per cent between 2019 and the end of 2021, according to the previous figures. The update changed that to a 66 per cent decline.

It will be interesting to see the figures when all the other countries around the world make the same changes to the way they calculate their figures :dunce:

Out of interest, what do you make of the posters on this thread that constantly lie about the number of accounts they have ?

Slightly off topic (re your comments and info provided on another thread) but if it's not too much trouble could you inform us if the primary/registration IP address for the account The Clamp is 'unique'?

Shared with one other account, but that isn't unusual. I clicked in the first of your own list of IP addresses, for example, and it is the Registration IP of 4 different NSC accounts.
As someone relatively new with only one account and obviously not involved in this sort of thing, I'd be genuinely interested in your view of how this can effect proper grown up debate ???

Oh dear, back for more are you :lolol:

*sigh* It's not stating the 11.7 rise or the 7 per cent fall or any other change were specifically caused by any one factor. But it is confirming the UK's overall economic performance was much better than previously thought and entirely in line with other G7 nations ... which must be baffling/dissapointing for those who have been pushing the moronic 'blame everthing on Brexit' line.

Why do you think Bry Nylon described you as a 'smug self satisfied prick' worthy of a permanent ban for being a 'stirring ****'?

NSC"s very own Christian Horner/Eddie Howe ...
