Apologies if someone else has already picked up on this, but Johnson has set out the advantages of Brexit. In a very thin list he includes the fact that we can now put crowns on our pint glasses. When I saw this, I thought it was some sort of parody. But no: he has to scrape the barrel to the extent that this is one of the Brexit plusses. This can be balanced against trivial little things like the damage to farming & fishing; the huge extra burdens on business; the thumping loss of export markets; the loss of freedom to work, travel and study in the EU; the irreparable damage to the UK's reputation and influence; and the myriad of inconveniences, costs and f*ck ups engineered by the most disgraceful bunch of incompetent, corrupt and shameless grifters who have ever occupied Downing Street.
Ah but you forgot to mention that the government has now reintroduced the Duty Free Allowance on goods brought in to the country... This means we can bring less Wine, Beer, Spirits and Smokes back in to the country than we used to be able to do....thus supporting our valued NHS

This is why Frost / Johnson are desperate to renegotiate the NI section of the withdrawal agreement. Young people in NI can see where their future lies ever more clearly and that's why reunification will get closer and closer... Another disaster for the epic list of Johnson's political failures..

Really? support for Brexit and Johnson is tanking, so much so he would lose his seat in an election.

I think those that oppose Brexit are winning the debate and public opinion has shifted the other way

Yeah and we left the EU Jan 31st 2021 :lolol:

Dry your eyes son

The UK left the EU at the end of 31 January 2020 CET (11 p.m. GMT) and began a transition period that ended on 31 December 2020 CET (11 p.m. GMT)

You do realise that even if I refrain from pointing out your idiocy (or, as you term it, my online abuse of you ), it doesn't mean you're getting any smarter :lolol:

And I suspect this year will be the year that you start angrily posting, IN CAPITALS, about the inflation driven price rises, the shortages of certain products, the clampdown on benefits, the increasing price of living and targeting of the poorest, without having any idea what the cause is :lolol:

Just like you've been moaning about the increases in refugees over the last year without the slightest hint of irony :dunce:

That is why they are absolutely desperate for people to shut up about the Brexit Disaster.

You can see it on this thread. They are almost begging people to keep quiet.

Lol.

Silly old bat
Brexit will stop immigration cried many who voted for Brexit. It may stop the Europeans working here but this government will bring in more workers (and many will work for poor wages).

I wonder how the 'Red Wall' voters will feel with a Prime Minister with Indian heritage, and many Indian immigrants?

Time to get over that fact that Brexit has been won, done and gone, and we are now free, and getting free-er every day.

We control everything now, from our borders to our pints of beer.

The Northern Irish are free to do what they like, but it would be very surprising if they turn their back on the UK. We didn't defeat terrorism for nothing. Another great British victory, the surrender of the IRA. The Loyal Ulstermen and women will stay loyal.

People need to show up the lefties who do nothing other than talk this great country down for what they really are.

Even Covid has been defeated thanks to British ingenuity. The rest of Europe is looking on enviously.

Our prospects have never been better. We have almost full employment and can even offer an opportunity for guest workers from around the Commonwealth.

All we need to do now is sell off the loss-making BBC, ban strikes, bring back National Service, and then we can walk tall and proud as we stride confidently across the international landscape, again.

Congrats on lasting until a few minutes after the game ended before posting Mr Nob .... small steps [emoji106]

Btw pretending any future trade deal with India would bring about the same low wage low skill situation as seen when we were members of the EU where millions came here is obvs silly. Fortunately, we now have a fairer system where all immigrants are treated broadly equally while also having the flexibility to alter entry requirements to suit our needs where neccasery.

Lol.

Agree with this... Brexit MPs really have to distract the public away from the economic miseries unfolding, but they need something, anything, to tell themselves that it has all been worth it....

This made me smile. Thank you.

It showcases the derisory Brexit argument. Ideological support for independence is a strange but fairly honourable position, but it is disingenuous to suggest that Brexit has tangible benefits for any but a tiny minority and the already extremely rich.....

Indeed. And yet I fear that my pastiche of Swift may be lost on some readers. How sad :lolol:
