A perfect illustration of the overriding problem is right here.

Instead of a calm reasoned debate, slightly aggressive posts commencing with words such a 'Look' (as discussed in the disliked phrases thread) do nothing to try and proceed in a manner of entente cordiale. The easiest way for the nation to move forward is with as much harmony as possible.

You seem to have missed this attempt to have a calm reasoned debate

:lolol::lolol: Never have, never will.

I have voted Labour many, many times.

Never again.
Now there's an interesting conundrum.

You're one of the most ardent Brexit supporters on here
You have never and will never vote Conservative
You will never vote Labour again

So which pro-Brexit candidate had the pleasure of your vote to become MP at the last election ???

Because I'm sure it's a very simple answer, and you don't seem the type to ignore a simple question in a harmonious discussion ???

Anyone still refusing to admit there are downsides and negatives to Brexit, as virtually all of those on here still defending it appear to be doing, makes reasoned debate impossible. We're not dealing with logic, we're dealing with dogma. Dogma cannot be reasoned with.

Go on then, if you want a reasoned debate, let's hear why the sewage issue isn't an example of why Brexit is a bad idea. I'm all ears.

Look, people just need to accept that sewage in the water supply is the will of the people. 17.4m people knew exactly what they were voting for, and more sewage all over the place is one of those things.

Over rivers are literally dying, take the River Wye, its screwed. The Vote Leave government are doing nothing...

Who really needs to debate, just count and observe what's going on and going wrong

I look forward to you making out a case for tangible economic and health benefits post Brexit; if neither you nor anyone can do that, then you have nothing to contribute to any debate on the matter.

Please make out a robust Brexit-positive argument for any of the issues raised in the last couple of pages.

No slogans please, just supporting evidence.....

If you keep reading negative shite on the internet all day, then your whole perspective is going to be negative.

From what I'm seeing in the real world things are getting back to normal after Covid, which is good news.

...and the tangible, economic, Brexit-related positives, from what you're seeing 'in the real world'?
