Genuinely sad that you feel this way. Maybe you should contact the BBC if you feel that this is fake news? It is on their website and they do tend to take complaints seriously these days. Of course it is quite possible that it is genuine, they used to always say " History is always written by the Victors " ? You won, own it or have the guts to stand against it if you have a conscience.

Can you point out your many posts where you stood out and had the guts to condemn the numerous cases of antisemitism in the only political party (that you wanted to see in government) being investigated (apart from the BNP) for prejudice and racism by the EHRC?

Oh the BBC it must be true :lolol: The same BBC who was quoted that several hundred Brexiters turned up at Parliament square ?

I'm sad you cannot move on with your life like most of the UK. You might convince simpletons like Watford O and Dribble etc with this nonsense but the majority are seeing through all this crap. Over 400 jobs gone at the BBC and viewing figures continue to fall. BBC is old news.

Pour yourself a beer and unwind. Move on.

You really should listen to yourself, just visualise Donald Trump and then re- read your post in his voice. There are some genuinely spiteful, nasty and hateful people who suddenly feel empowered and emboldened by the last 48 hours, that is truly frightening. Is this what you want ?

There were always going to be "winners" and "losers."
Were the result reversed, the same kind of crap would be happening.
There is a percentage of the UK population that will just always be dicks from either side of an argument.

This is their nirvana.

You used to be able to make quite a go of it in politics by promising to make people's lives better.
But the royal road to power and success seems to be promising to make other peoples lives worse, and letting you watch.

What's that got to do with Brexit you sad case?

That party were led by a bloke who, under the skin, was every bit as much of a leaver as Farrage (and he's about to go). Care to point out where the Lib Dems are being investigated?

One day in and we're defending tedious racism, ironically delivered by defending the use of the Queen's English using incorrect grammar, by the means of pointless whataboutism. Welcome to Brexit Britain.

What happens with Gibraltar now ?

I'm guessing that the EU is no longer neutral on the issue and the Spaniards will want to sabre rattle over its inclusion in a deal.

Well said. I'm afraid JCFG has let himself down on this one. One of the ways we could heal the divisions is simply to combine to condemn that which should be condemned. There's a lot spoken about the inability of 'losers' to move on, but 'winners' have responsibilities too.

Lazy thinking, I'm afraid. Just about the weakest defence of something imaginable. (Can you apply this to apartheid, slavery, the Holocaust etc etc.?)

TBF to GB he was always consistent in his criticism of Corbyn and his leadership, not only on this thread but challenging that Irish knob on the next Labour Leader thread.

Gods country fortnightly
Time to close this thread now Brexit is done??? Yet so many Brexiters still on this thread, weird...

Back from my travels, missed all the Brexit celebrations though caught a few clips on Romanian TV, looked a bit tin pot TBH, 1 million in parliament square was it?

Any time for a new avatar to celebrate our new found unique status as a nation.

So what happens next? So far the EU got everything they wanted, we're being good and paying bill, they got their border in Irish Sea even though we come up with a plan which the EU agreed to and then decided it was better to just capitulate anyway

Time we deliver on the promises, lots of cash is promised, NHS etc, etc. Something has to give, will it be austerity +++, tonnes of borrowing or a close trading relationship with the biggest trading block in the world. Should be easy, we can do it over a cup of tea and will be one of the easiest deals in history

Just hope there is something it in for Murdoch and Dacre's children who put Boris into power, just a little something...

Nothing at all. I was highlighting the hypocrisy of someone (vegster) who calls for others to 'own it or have the guts to stand against it (racism/prejudice) if you have a conscience' after this unacceptable incident while staying completely silent (?) for over three years when it comes to standing against and condemning the numerous cases of antisemitism in the Labour party... the party he voted for and wanted to see in Government. Some people seem to have a very selective conscience.

The post you quoted was directed at someone else (vegster) not GB. He has indeed been very critical of Corbyn and his leadership although he still voted Labour at the last GE.

The Torygraph reported "hundreds"

Daily Mail don't seem to mention the numbers.

The Sun claimed Millions across the country, and Thousands in Parliament square.

I think there were probably thousands there, but about a tenth of what you reckon.

The only allegations I have seen of antisemitism were of a general type, i.e. ********s such as yourself would say "what about antisemitism in Labour?" as a response to criticism of specific incidents of racism being pointed out in some leavers.
I have never seen any specific incident of antisemitism cited to be able to condemn it. The accusation begins with Labour leadership being uncomfortable with the contentious IHRA working definition of what constitutes antisemetism, and it adopting a slightly amended version of it, not in the definition itself, but in removing some of the examples given.

From wikipedia; In September 2018, the NEC decided to add all 11 IHRA examples (unamended) to the definition of antisemitism.[139][146] A few days later the Parliamentary Labour Party voted by a majority of 205 to adopt the unamended definition to their standing orders.[147]

Later in the month, a report by the Media Reform Coalition examined over 250 articles and broadcast news segments of coverage of Labour's revised code of conduct on antisemitism, and found over 90 examples of misleading or inaccurate reporting. The research found evidence of "overwhelming source imbalance" in which critics of Labour's code of conduct dominated coverage which failed to include quotes from those defending the code, critiquing the IHRA working definition and key contextual facts about the IHRA working definition.
