The quicker it happens, the quicker we can all stop dicking about with ifs, buts and maybes of what will or won't happen and deal with realities.
It's taken three democratic results to secure what the majority voted for in 2016, I am sure no one can seriously challenge democratic legitimacy anymore. Time to move on .... let's get Brexit done.

As a Remainer in the vote, I wholeheartedly agree. The clue is in the word democratic but I still know plenty of people who hoped for the madness of another referendum and all that would bring. Interesting that Boris is now expected to soften his Brexit approach.
Scotland is the new problem for Boris.

Best put it under your pillow and dream about it, I guess. I don't know for definite, but I'm pretty sure that British governments have rarely, if ever, had more than 50% of the vote.And 52% of people voted for a party offering a second referendum or remain.

Just replying to someone who suggested the election last night was a proxy second referendum, well if it was, leave lost the vote, but of course won the war.
I would have liked to have grabbed the lapels of people like Redwood in the 90's and shouted "let it go". But he didn't, so I shan't either. We'll rejoin one day
