Clueless ? I think more like frighteningly accurate and straight to the point.

I just live in the vain hope that you haven't managed to breed further generations of British born benefit scroungers

Out of interest do Remainers here have a limit as to how many migrants they would accept into the UK? Would you for example accept 10m in the next 10 years?20m in the next 20 years?

To a certain extent, yes.
The figure quoted is an average, therefore, a lot of migrants will be contributing less than that, seasonal work harvesting vegetables, care home assistant, etc, and a good amount will be contributing considerably more, Surgeons, CEO S of large companies, scientists, etc. British workers do not want to be picking spuds in Lincolnshire for 6 months of the year, for minimum wage, therefore not reaching the tax threshold, so paying no tax, anyway, and I personally don’t want my next heart operation being performed by some spotty youth who has just come in from the job centre, no matter what nationality he is.

I’m being flippant, but the point remains, migrants do the jobs we ( the British) either don’t want to do, or are incapable,( in sufficient numbers) of being able to do.

We did those jobs in the past.Maybe we don't anymore because the pay sucks.Maybe employers will just have to pay more because they will have less migrants to exploit in the future.I knew a migrant who was working in a shop in Covent Garden for £5 an hour and another one getting £3.50 per hour at a Deli in Brighton. Not right is it.

As I was saying,if it were Poland, Bulgaria and Romania that were the rich countries and everyone else was moving there for work then for sure they would complain. For sure they would consider to leave the EU and they call us racist.

Those jobs also suck. I wouldn't want any of my kids living in a caravan for six months, pulling up potatoes from dawn till dusk. The rate of pay would have to be up there with Phillip Green to make it bearable. I've done really shi tty jobs in the past, and stuck at them cos I had a family to feed, but, given the choice, I'd rather have done anything else. It seems the worst jobs , pay the worst money, unfair really that it should be like that.

Yes but we did them in the past so what's changed?????Have we as a country just become really lazy or has the money and conditions got a lot worse????

However many it takes to pay an aging native populations pension requirements, cos at the moment, with the age demographic of this country, we are going to have some hard choices to make, cut the pension to the bone, and we're already the lowest paid pensioners in equivalent EU states, raise the pension age to the high Seventies,or compulsory private pensions.

Do you remember Auf Weidersehn Pet? After East & West Germany were unified, many UK construction workers went over to help rebuild.
Thousands work in the resorts & golf courses in Spain & Portugal.

Work forces have always been fluid.

There is a natural limit to the numbers, it would equate roughly to the difference in the numbers of people here of working age, and jobs available, + University places for new Foreign students, - Foreign students returning home.
For business, if there is a limit to their ability to recruit, their growth slows, so in a system where each foreign worker needs to apply for a visa, and Government places a limit on the number of visas, there is always a good riskl of getting the limit wrong and choking growth. If businesses lack the skilled workers they need and cannot get them, the business may move to an area where recruitment is easier and cheaper, or find ways to remotely employ those workers, meaning the tax on that workers pay is paid elsewhere.

That might be 10 million in ten years if we are lucky enough to have that much growth in jobs, but I doubt it.

Not specifically a 'Remainer' - although 'Remain' is a much lesser evil than *no deal* - but for me, obviously 4 billion in the next year or so is probably a shade high [emoji38]ol:, but as a general ballpark figure we should allow in enough to fill the available job vacancies at the time.

Is it wrong for a person to wish to preserve their culture???Take it 20/30 years into the future and imagine we hadn't voted leave, can you imagine the percentage of migrants in this country from the EU not even taking into account the percentage from non EU countries. How many towns and cities in the UK would have British people in the minority????

Imagine this country was poor and it was for example Poland that was rich and everyone was moving there.Do you think they would be happy? No.Would Bulgaria or Romania be happy if they were rich and everyone was moving there???No.We are often accused of being racist by the same nations who if they were in a similar position to us would also probably vote leave.Every country is proud of its culture and heritage.Simple.

Please tell me that wasn't the reason you voted leave ? On second thoughts, don't bother - I know the answer.

But do you get the irony here.

Here is the perfect example mouldy Goliath voted to leave because he thought our culture would disappear because of fuzzy wuzzies and foreigners. This is the argument that a lot of people have thrown against people who voted to leave, and hey presto, one of our resident loonies has backed up that argument 100%

People who voted for genuine reasons have been swept aside due to this type of nonsense and all labelled racists and thick!

Society is broken . I would love to know how this will ever repair.
