Yep, pretty much. Wasnt bothered. Knew full well, prior to it happening, that an extension to the negotiations to Leave was a possibility. Always known that the Tories know if they fail to deliver leaving the EU according to the democratic vote they cease to be a political party.Adhering to the democratic vote of the people is paramount, it supersedes everything, if the Tories renege on the promise to respect the outcome of the vote then f### them and f### any other politician from any party that aids that process.

Leave or don't leave, Brexit has already cost us an absolute fortune. I mean, ridiculous amounts of money. Imagine the good that could have been done with sums like this...


The UK government has spent £97m in consultancy fees alone in its preparation for Brexit, according to the National Audit Office (NAO).


That total is 50% more than the £65m recorded by the Cabinet Office for consultants in the 12 months to April 2019.

Brexit costs UK £600m a week. This would mean that in the 145 weeks since the referendum the total cost to the UK economy is around £87bn. The report by Goldman Sachs says Brexit has cost the UK economy 2.4% of its GDP, based on a comparison with its growth before the 2016 referendum.

Yes I think it will happen because the tory leadership is far more concerned about saving itself than saving the country.

But then any triumphalism Leavers may enjoy at the outset will be slowly eroded, week on week, month on month, year on year as the reality dawns that Brexit is a dispiriting and impoverishing process and leaving is just the start of it.
Practice your shrugging; you may very well need the consolation of a cuppa.

The cross-party group of MPs urged greater priority for post-Brexit trade talks with India, while calling on the government to facilitate the easy movement of people to come to Britain among priorities for improving relations.

Looks like all those folk in places like Boston who voted for Brexit because they didn't like people who spoke with foreign accents might not be getting quite what they wanted.

Again, sigh, it was said many times in the campaign that the commonwealth countries should not be over-ridden by the EU in terms of prospective immigrants. A policy which took into account the qualification of the immigrants was proposed. But that non racist idea is ignored by pro EU people who ironically want to favour one group or race of people over another.

You are not the first remainer who seems angry that people from India could possibly have preferential treatment in obtaining work and study visas if it becomes part of a future trade deal.
I guess you will just have to adjust and live with the fact that preferential immigration from mostly white EU countries is coming to an end. Thank god.
An equal immigration policy that does not discriminate between EU and non EU is the way forward for this country.

No,saving democracy saves the country, the Tory leadership recognises there was a referendum vote that gave the instruction to Leave, ignoring the decision to Leave and politicians scheming or succeeding in the UK remaining instead will be catastrophic for democracy and parliamentary accountability for the country. It matters not if the Tories oversee such an outcome (they will be finished) it is the democratic process that is paramount and will be damaged beyond saving despite who is in control.
It is worrying people like you cant see this, which you obviously cannot.

Really cant see how taking back control of legislative powers ceded to Brussels, ensuring our courts have primacy in domestic matters rather than the primacy of the ECJ or taking back control of border control and thankfully being allowed to require EU citizens who want to live and work here to get permissions to enter prior to crossing the border, such as we do require with non EU citizens is dispiriting or impoverishing. Its normal practice for the majority of the countries on the planet who are not in the EU as they exercise their sovereign rights.
