If there was a second Brexit referendum how would you vote?

I offered a vote at the referendum, whether I was on the winning or losing side is of no consequence. What I do understand, we are dangerously close to losing our democracy. And I am totally ashamed to watch remainers not accepting a vote. Totally.

A democratic person would be willing to engage, listen and try to empathise...perhaps find out if there's any common ground.

Perhaps it's you that's endangering democracy, despite your exclamations.

The bit I don't get, and this is a genuine question, asked in peace: If democracy is such a virtue, if there were a second vote on the issue when why would that be less valid given that things have moved on in 3 years and people have had a chance to see what has occurred since? Would it not give the electorate the chance to possibly cement their views, and if either side are so sure of the outcome (either remain or leave) that they should not be worried about the outcome?

For the record, I voted remain but now I'm so sick of this I just want progress, regardless of the direction.

For simplicity, if Man City beat Watford 6-0 that is the end of it, Man City win the cup. They don't then have a second game because Watford feel aggrieved. That is my simplicity on the referendum. Everyone had a vote, they voted and that was it. That was democracy, you don't do democracy twice because you didn't like the initial result.

Oh I do empathise, I may have voted remain, but you have no right to try to overturn the will of a nation.

Good grief.
I think that's more than enough for me. :)
I bear you no ill will.

Have you ever thought that a second referendum would be taken seriously by leavers if they lost? There would be serious blood on the streets of Britain.

Yes, funny how they were only a moment ago accusing Remainers (as a group) of the very same thing.
I'm glad I've given up engaging with them, as they clearly have so little to offer in any kind of polite debate.

Who are 'them'? Those that think you don't really have an answer to non democracy?

Lol I’m simple? least I know what I voted for and don’t resort to threatening blood on the streets.

You are either drunk or you have gone full retard and you never go full retard.

My goodness, I am 'threatening' ... hilarious. Yep I myself will get 5 million on the streets and revolt. Seriously, funniest thing I have heard. Leavers will hit the streets if their democracy is over turned. They will feel betrayed. If you think belittling and patronising will win your posting then fine, it has become what I expected of non democratic people.

There's a slight difference between a football match (played under rules by a governing body) and a referendum that was, at that moment purely advisory - so whilst I appreciate the parallel you are trying to suggest, I would argue that it isn't entirely identical.

I still am unsure of part of my answer: if you are so sure of the outcome (as Man City would be against Watford, to use your analogy), would you not allow it to be replayed but still be sure of the outcome?

Sussex Nobhead a retard?

Now......

There's a thought ????

A gift that keeps on giving, even after I've put him on ignore. It is like Benveniste's 'memory' of a chemical left in water. Good read this, if you're bored.

He has just joined my list, only person I have on it.... takes some doing.

I am at work till 7am.... so I have plenty of time to have a read through.....

Lol!

Benveniste did not do blinded and randomized studies so his data was bollocks from the start. 'Sir' John Maddox, a physicist and editor of Nature does not understand abot biological variability and how to control for it.

The whole thing is an embarrassment and in 50 years peope will laugh at 'us' just as we laugh about witch trials, ducking stools, Brexit and other madness.

Nighty night
