I see Esther McVey has been straight up lying on twitter over the weekend. I wonder if anything will come of it.
I assume it was the Kremlin dis-information she was pushing about the Lisbon Treaty. Lots of made up 'clauses' and lies about what the Treaty commits us to.

I believe that some of the more awkward decisions on a deal may be pushed back into the first extended EU membership period. (You know, the one called 'Implementation').

Should we have a poll to name the next period after that ???

**** me this is really scraping the barrel.

Like standing in your house when it’s on fire and going “well, maybe not everything will be unrecognisably burnt, eh?”

Go on then, for us non-Twits, what did she say ?
Posted this about an article from 2014.

[tweet]1104830370099458048[/tweet] *tweet deleted*

Then, when called out on it...

[tweet]1104857435670528000[/tweet]

Disinformation and lies from a cabinet member.

The reason you cannot see the first tweet in my post is that she has now deleted it.

So, from the article, a journalist has heard a suggestion that the production of the new FWD Series 1 could be bought to Britain ?

Well, you've convinced me. Full steam ahead with 'no deal' :lolol:

On our way

Easiest deal in history

Brexit means Brexit

No deal

Undemocratic loons

Tick Tock

18 days to go

Glad my car's repair will be done by Thursday.

Then I can sort out my fuel stockpiling ( within legal limits on storage - which are pitifully low ).

Pointless worrying now.

Unless MPs legally block ( their vote won't ) *no deal* then the country collapse starts in just 18 days.

Worst hit initially will be those needing isotopes and life saving medicines.

One day there will be trials in The Hague.

Unfortunately with *no deal* we lose all our other trade agreements as well, except the few that the disgraced former defence secretary Liam Fox has managed to roll over.

I don't think fuel from the Faroe Islands will cover the shortfall.

I am not saying *no fuel* by the way. Just shortages and price hikes.

Have we struck a new trade deal with Norway ?

If not, it'll be expensive. Why waste cash ? Buy now.

Those advocating No Deal should read this 17 part tweet.
This is the 17th part.

In summary:
a) No deal is not the ultimate in “taking back control”, but in handing control the EU.
b) Even in a no-deal scenario, the Commission will try to get the UK to sign up to the backstop and pay the bill, and has plenty of leverage with which to do so.
