...Are you in the pharmaceutical industry yourself...
yes and have worked on project related to supply chain. as i say the real issue is whether or not the supply can get through the ports. sourcing from else where would be to provide alternative point of entry.

I don't disagree with your overall point but it's interesting you highlight horse meat. There's actually nothing wrong with horse meat, it's actually quite nice and available in many supermarkets in France. There are two problems with horse meat in the UK. One being the scandel about it being in meals but not listed on the ingrediements, and the other stems from that problem in that the UK in general find the idea of horse meat repugnant. Generally there's nothing wrong with it. Even pet food is fit for human consumption.

And no, neither taste like chicken.
I agree with you but of course that wasn't quite the issue I was alluding to. The problem I'm illustrating is that horse meat will end up packaged as other meat, unbeknown to UK consumers.

I’m glad you posed that as a question . The answer is no.

Rather than a question, let me make a statement: You’re an utter prick.

OK fair enough, although it seems odd that you haven't revealed that before setting out your position.
And you are convinced there will be no disruption to medical supplies because we can get equally good quality medicines from non-EU countries? I have to say I remain unconvinced!

Forget Dry January.

Now is the time for Fat February and Munching March.

Time to cut out all exercise and pile on the pounds to see us through the shortages.

Stockpile those guts to busting !

im sure i've mentioned being in the industry before. i expect there would be some disruption, question is would it be enough to materially impact existing or already expanded inventory.

Slightly off topic, but the fact that horsemeat has turned up in Steak and Kidney pies in Britain is not so much a matter of taste, but if that meat cannot be traced back to where the horse was raised. If it was not raised for consumption, it could have had drugs not authorised for food animals. As it was passed off as Beef, I would say it would be pretty hard to trace it back to it's life as a horse.

Wow - the IEA! Have you had a major political conversion as a man who writes from a 'socialist perspective'. As a Brexiteer you must be used to some strange bedfellows but this one takes the proverbial biscuit.

Wow - another post that plays the man not the ball.

How about you provide a coherent view that defends the CAP to the extent that it benefits the poor and not the wealthy. The link is merely a point of reference to provide context that their are other dissenting voices on tbe CAP.

For the remainers bleating on here about rising food costs defending the CAP should be a walk in the park, its 39% of the EU budget.......so the floor is yours.

I think the CAP is great because......

Because it keeps my head warm ?

Seriously, I agree with you. CAP favours the large landowners, sorry farmers, and intensive farming. I've seen many people suggest leaving the EU will lower environmental standards in the UK - well CAP is in direct conflict with supposesed EU environmental policies.

Nice....

British nationals who have retired to EU countries including Spain and France will no longer have their health care covered by the NHS in the event of no deal, the government has confirmed.

These people have been hung out to dry in the last 2 and a half years....

Don't worry, we're already the fattest in Europe already. That's why the government has decide that medical supplies are taking priority over food

In recent years slagging off MPs has become a populist thing that all politicians are somehow bad. They are not....

Some do actually care where we end up and don't want chaos that will hurt the many and enrich the few (and we know who they are)

For the NHS this is good news, if it could get better at gathering the charges for non U.K. citizens using it we will see more money for the treatment of U.K. citizens here.

https://fullfact.org/health/how-much-does-uk-recover-health-costs-eu/

If you have enough loot to live in the Dordogne then you can pay for a french health insurance policy.

Any more good news?

I agree with you here. This piece of news is neither here not there in truth, and putting out these silly stories deflects from the real issues surrounding Brexit.
