There are a few loonies on here.

Parliament is the UKs supreme legal authority. A consultative referendum took place to inform them on our relationship with the EU, simple in out decision. The country was clearly extremely divided but there was a small minority for leave. Fine. The next government was voted in on a leave manifesto. Fine. There has been over 2.5 years and the Brexit government has its leave deal agreed with the EU. Fine (although it’s shit, but then it always was going to be). But some Brexit extremists don’t like it, would like a different form of leave. And other Brexiteers would like to stay, given the mess this has created. Fine. The Brexit government has had their go, it will fail in January. They have been incapable of delivering a solution. Bring it back to the people. Go as per the Brexit deal, go with no deal, stay. And to those who say it’s not democratic, it absolutely it, democracy stands still for no one, not even the toffs and elites leading the Brexit charge.

Re the 106 Technical Notices the Government has issued. I'm an accountant, I've read the Accountancy and Audit one. There's no mention of VAT, specifically Tour Operator Margin Scheme VAT. Here, I have a client that ignores the punitive UK VAT rules in favour of the more relaxed and user-friendly EU rules - as he is entitled to do as either can be used.

He has asked me what will happen after 29th March 2019, so in his next VAT Quarter. I look to the Technical Notice for guidance, there is none. Now this is just in one sector, but it's a total mess.

I feel for any small business that imports or exports goods and services to/from the EU, having to get their heads round new VAT rules, having to get an EORI number to trade, the new customs declaration Forms CDS replacing the old CHIEF system, even Making Tax Digital for VAT coming in from 1st April 2019. They couldn't have made trading any more bureaucratic if they tried. It's a shambles.

WTO,is that Watford Total Zero?If countries want to export to us,then they can,terms already in place.Or they can negotiate through the World Trade Organisation while using our existing terms.Leave worrying about trade to the people employed to do it by our taxes,sit down,give your head a wobble,and admit we are Leaving.You will then be able to have a Happy Christmas,without sleepless nights.

I don't have time to argue with you now, but take the same advice as I gave to Portslade Seagull, and do some research on the WTO. Then tell me if replicating our tariff schedules as under the EU arrange will be the "easiest deal in history".

Liam Fox tried to fast track the process in October and realised that the path to Utopia wasn't quite what he expected.

Indeed, nothing shortly of disgraceful the way British Citizens living in Europe have been treated by the UK government since the referendum.

Some 3m EU subjects in the UK and a further 7m dependents have been treated little better.
