Her deal doesn't get through even if she does stay in, she's just managed to push the vote back to increase pressure on it. A disgraceful act and why Corbyn was right to show such anger at PMQs.

I just saw 5 minutes of The Kay Burley Show on Sky News and the completely certifiable Andrea Jenkyns going blue-on-blue with Rory Stewart and she says she wont vote for the deal even if May wins.

That's an interesting point. Brexit may actually result in increased multiculturalism.

Marvellous.A remainer has finally caught on,but it's such a shame that the EU will become less multi-cultural once we leave. It will be great when Eastbourne,Worthing, and all the other white ghettoes become a melting pot.

If your statement is true, then at some point we need to accept no further economic growth, otherwise we need a population of infinity.

Well quite. Unfortunately there are two things which are true - a stable society will keep on generating economic growth, and a population of infinity is not possible. So what instead will happen is increasingly rapid growth to peak population - the point at which resources run out, we lose faith in our leaders, trading relationships break down etc etc - followed by rapid collapse - which will be typified by social unrest, war, collapse of society, famine, mass starvation, mass death and so on.

Happy days eh.

Collapse by Jared Diamond is very interesting, describing many societies which have collapsed in the past - and those which are on the verge now.

seems he is a head banger so guess not

He's a born again head banger though. He's been bitching about the backstop and telling May to go back to Brussels ever since the deal was agreed.

The cynic in me will be keeping an eye out now to see if the police investigation into the allegations against him are quietly dropped too as a result of today.

As it's widely forecast we will grow less quickly after Brexit it's obvious Remainers clearly weren't thinking far enough ahead then ... :p

Must be time for the Craig McKinley verdict soon, maybe that will be delayed ???

If your statement is true, then at some point we need to accept no further economic growth, otherwise we need a population of infinity.

Regardless of any economic growth (and that's not always a good thing) when the birth rate is 1.7/1.8 and life expectancy is rising, then it's clear that we need considerable levels of immigration or we're heading for a period, at some point in the future, where the majority of people will be over 60.

Our birth-rate has been low for the last 40 years but we've economically buoyant thanks to high levels of immigration - if that were to be stopped, we'd be in trouble in years to come. If we had zero immigration, we'd have to some very hard choices to make - unless we want 70-year-old coppers and firefighters.

Japan is just about hitting that point now, which is why it's talking about a big influx of immigrants but it's going to be tough for the country to make that cultural shift.
