There was me thinking John Hayes has been knighted today for being a principled MP of sound character and the timing in relation to the upcoming vote was all just an unfortunate coincidence.
This was all reported in The Sunday Times 6 weeks back.............................

The DUP have said tonight if May's deal gets voted on they withdraw from the deal with the Tories, so if May's deal gets voted in then we have to have an election

My guess at the moment is that May will tell the EU this weekend that she can't get the deal past Parliament without a backstop adjustment and such an adjustment will be agreed, sufficient to reduce the number of Tory rebels and increase the number of Labour ones. The question then is whether the compromise will be announced and implemented before or after the vote on December 13. Both possible; after more likely.

Blimey - Spanish PM used word “co-sovereignty” here in relation to Gibraltar, saying today’s agreement allows him to talk about this with UK as post Brexit future relationship is negotiated in coming years. Not helpful to PM. But she’s not the only one with domestic constituency.

This is not true, it's fake news because only last week Theresa May said that she would not do this to Gibraltar.
She was asked this question in the commons PMQ by a Tory MP and she assured him that Gibraltar will never be part of the deal.
Unless of course she lied, again.
We will see project blame being cranked up by brexiteers in the next week or so.

There seems to be a section people in the past few weeks that feel sorry for May
I'm not one of them. From the moment she became PM she failed to unite the nation, calling those on the remain side "losers" and casting them aside. Then there was her ridiculous quested backed by Paul Dacre to take the Brexit process away from parliament, then a disaster election that the Tories party lost,.
From that loss she should have gone cross party to find a Brexit solution that would bring a divided country together, instead she ignored it and pressed being pushed around by the ERG / Tory right. Add to that stupid gimicks with blue passports, festivals of Britain and coins and almost bragging about ending FOM (she seems to forget that is actually a huge loss of rights for Britons)
Casting NI aside and now screwing Gib just threatens the first existence of our once "United Kingdom"

Although on this occassion Meg hasn't really got it correct ( nor has the Guardian ). Firstly Spain can't 'veto' the withdrawl agreement alone as it's going to be passed on qualified majority voting. Secondly, according to the BBC, the letter from the UK government to the Spanish didn't offer anything that wasn't already agreed, it just re-worded it. Spain then withdrew their objection. Commetators suggest the original objection was only raised to assist with local Spanish elections which have now concluded.
Meg might need to hang up her ball !
