That'll be the Unilever that said at the time that 'the plan to move to Holland is nothing to do with Brexit' then

Yeah that’s the one, the one that some remoaners insisted the move was because of brexit , or at least formed their reasoning and suggested they would be better off in Holland post brexit because a post brexit non uk country was better even though we told them otherwise that it had nothing to do with brexit.

And so it continues. Anyone that doesn't admit this sort of thing will cause a massive recession is either ignorant or lying to save face.

The U.K. has a Wild West attitude to hostile takeover bids by foreign companies and the philosophy of Britain's Brexit-driving politicians suggests that this is now very unlikely to change.

I did not say it was a Brexit driven decision, I said Brexit would have been a con to deciding to locate headquarters in Britain. This didn't just happen, it happened for a reason, or several reasons, I am telling you that any business making a decision on whether to locate their headquarters in one place or another would consider the pros and cons of each location, and that Brexit would surely have been a con for Britain..

Whether Brexit was the sole reason for the decision is pushing it, but it more than likely tipped the balance.

Not a good day for British industry. Take note Mrs. May, this could be the first of many. Its really is a warning shot of what is to come

837 days since the referendum, 172 till we leave and still no idea what you voted for yet

I know what I voted for, I knew what I was voting for before the ballot and I can remember since the ballot what it was I voted for.

You however are the complete ####wit who doesn’t know the difference between The European Union (Withdrawal) Act legislated by our parliament and the withdrawal deal we are negotiating with the EU, the idiot who didn’t realise a trade deal comes after we leave the EU and not before and the complete plank who thought the future relationship proposal (chequers) was actually the withdrawal agreement itself that both sides are negotiating and wasn’t the separate future relationship arrangement.
You are by far the biggest uninformed idiot on here so forgive me if I think your postings are twaddle.

And yet we are told if we question anything to do with Brexit we are told we are unpatriotic. Not a healthy culture.

And yet as a leaver, on here I've been called :

Stupid
Idiotic
A prick
A coward
Racist
A little Englander
A pant pisser ( I'm particularly impressed with this one from Plooks )
And many other derogatory terms that I can't currently recall

I think the phrase including stones and glasshouses somewhat applies if you're complaining about being called unpatriotic. It certainly isn't a healthy culture.

Not one of those quotes are insisting the move to Rotterdam was because of Brexit.

Nsc is particularly bad for insults, and there are many on both sides.

None of which compare to being called a traitor. I have served in the Navy, and worked for the Crown, but now I am a traitor. That is a very emotive word, and easily worse than any of your perceived insults.

Strange post. None of the quote you assembled showed anyone saying that the Unilever decision was Brexit-driven. My own comment - which you reproduced - suggested that the economics and politics of a post-Brexit Britain will mean even less protection against the takeover of strategic industries than at present (see warblings of Patrick Minford). I stand by that.

Goodness. Is that all you can offer? I've been called a traitor, hypocrite, liar, ****, mental-defective and supporter of bloodstained Gemen bitches and that's just from Pastafarian. And he's gentler with me than with others. Don't worry about it. In my case I regard it all as a badge of honour.

So, despite all your frantic searching, you couldn't find anyone blaming it on Brexit, but thought you would go ahead and post some random quotes anyway

And after 2.5 years you still can't explain what it is you want so go back to your normal whataboutism tirade.

Don't you think you should cut back on the porn and puff a little if it makes you this angry. I'm really saying this for your own benefit, and not saying that you have to give it up completely, just cut back a little ???

*edit*

He's called me that in a single post, last time I asked him to explain what it was he voted for

I'm not worried - really couldn't care what people call me. I was just pointing out the utter hypocrisy of a particular poster complaining about being called something when he is one of the worst offenders ..... it's utterly laughable.

Bloody Worthing!
I had given you more credit than resorting to playground 'banter'. I was wrong.

Speaking in my official capacity as Chair of the Pasta Appreciation Society, I've noticed that he does tend to be at his most intemperate on a Monday. He gradually loosens up during the week but then something happens at the weekend and - bingo! - he's at it again. Care not: he'll be back to his old cheerful self in a few days and we can all have a chuckle together.

I think the bullet should remain to be honest. Pre-brexit vote - GBP was roughly 1.4 to the Euro, now it's 1.1, and never likely to reach that ever again.

That 1.40 was artificial because on referendum day the remainers and the city were so over confident that they were going to win that the pound soared . It might not reach those levels again but I wouldn't bet against it. By the way at the moment it's nearer 1.14 than 1.1.

Haha. Is that the best you've got?

The pound was hugely strong on that date because the city was confident the UK would stay IN the EU?

Do you want to go and have a little think about the logic behind that statement?

The pound is the worst it has been for a very long time. 2000 saw it at c1.7 against the euro, so saying it "soared" in the last few days to 1.14 is laughable, which is what my original post was questioning.
