So I see the French fisherman are acting true to form. Fearing Brexit, as they should. Had it far too easy for way too long.
Do pray tell on that French fisherman form and fearing Brexit. Do you think our fishermen should fear loss of access to CFP territorial waters and to ports such as Boulogne-sur-Mer and Skagen to land their catches as a result of Brexit as well, or will they be just fine and just not co-operate in regards to sustainability in the future and just land everything they want, all by themselves?
Most of the French boats involved in The Bay of Seine, and subject to French Government restrictions on fishing there, are smaller, sub 10 metre vessels. One of the British large, commercial vessels involved, The Honeybourne III of Petherhead, operating out of Shoreham, is 30 metres long. Like all Sub 10 metre fisherman everywhere, they don't stand a chance against a large, commercial vessel like that. Unlike you, the French fishermen would also know that The Honeybourne III PD905 has a previous conviction at this sort of thing - https://www.gov.uk/government/news/master-and-owner-fined-21746-for-fisheries-offences
