But the username JC Footy Genius stated "For some bizarre reason, I quite like you" at me.

I know you converse with him but has he ever given you such an accolade?

He said something quite friendly once but I passed out as a result and can no longer recall it.

It seems to me that there are quite a few Tories prepared to bend over backwards to accommodate a great deal with the US, but don't want to make any concession to help maintain a better one with the EU.
We can't say we don't want to be in the club and then blame them when they say we can't use the clubhouse.

Trump has announced the NHS is "Going broke and not working" today (been watching Farage on the Murdoch channnel's Fox and Friends). Anyway, I'm sure that US will be our saviour via a trade deal and privatisation

American healthcare is messed up. It's the patients that go broke in the States, many go bankrupt over maternity care if there is any complication, or get addicted to opiates under professional care.

Not as far as Maternity care goes, most expensive in the world but the highest rates of maternal death in the industrialised world.

We have free speech ,freedom of expression and a free press we don’t have a state controlled propaganda machine dishing out state sanctioned populist messages.

You are spectacularly incorrect if you think the press is free in this country it is owned and run by the Establishment and it is they that set the agenda a very good example was the NHS march in London at the weekend 60,000 people and not one mention on the BBC on that days news, it took a tweet from Trump for the BBC to report it.

Sadly we may have free speech but no one is listening as its lost into the ether that is the Internet on forums such as this, what you and I write makes not a blind jot.

With regards to Brexit the vote was leave and I accept that but the details of our countries future relationship with the EU was not voted upon and has been left to a very small band of the Establishment to decide the details, I fear for yours, mine and our children's future

Markit/CIPS survey of the services sector recorded its worst level of growth for 16 months. And let’s not forget how much of a share services have in the unbalanced Uk economy. Teacher numbers down again. NHS in such a crisis that even some Tories are concerned. Wake up people. We told you this was coming.

My idea of leaving the EU is to not to burn bridges you don't leave a hotel room trashed with broken cups and smashed TV and expect not to get a bill and not to be invited back no you put the towels in the shower pull the bed back put the rubbish in the bin.

Our Brexit from day one has been like one of The Who hotel stays when Keith Moon would throw everything out of the window

Odd one to (cherry) pick even for you, or just a cut and paste job of the Guardian or some other ...... do the detail, the report also includes the following.

https://www.cips.org/en-gb/news/new...-in-january-amid-subdued-inflows-of-new-work/

Nonetheless, panellists mentioned that sustained rises in sales, acquisitions and new offerings underpinned output expansion.

Inflows of new business increased at a slightly quicker pace in January, with growth attributed to successful marketing campaigns, greater market shares and the offering of new services.

Service providers further engaged in hiring, with employment having now increased continuously for one-and-a-half years. Moreover, the rate of job creation accelerated slightly to a four-month high. Anecdotal evidence suggested that the upturn in headcounts reflected the opening of new branches, projects in the pipeline and positive output expectations.

Indeed, services firms remained optimistic that business activity will be higher over the course of the year, with business confidence the strongest since last March. Sentiment was boosted by planned increases in capex, advertising efforts and greater market shares.

Duncan Brock, Director of Customer Relationships at the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply, said:

“Brexit blame has emerged once again as the reason for the slowdown in growth of services activity, which was at its lowest since September 2016 as consumers reined in spending and displayed anxieties about the future.

“However, this lack of confidence appeared to be at odds with companies as there was a significant rise in business expectations to the highest for almost a year. Some firms were also discounting to remain competitive and launching new products, which is a strong indicator that businesses expect consumers to start spending again soon.

Scraping the barrel and undermines nearly everything you post, its an obvious snapshot of business activity and not any meaningful negative trends' Herr Tubthumper must do better.

I see Amber Rudd on the airwaves this morning has said the new immigration white paper is 'likely' to be ready by Brexit next year, when it was originally due by the end of 2017.

She also says the Government hopes to give Brexit clarity in the 'next few weeks.'

No rush obviously.

Think its looking increasingly likely that Brexit will be the Tories biggest ever mistake, will the party survive in its current state?

Back in 2015 for the first time in 23 years, they won an election and had a clear run 5 years in government, a working majority and a chance to prove themselves. Its completely toxic for them now and only themselves to blame. They have a lot of sensible people but somehow they've allowed 40-50 extremists and the right wing media to lead them on a road to ruin.

Labour aren't clear where they are at right now, but as the opposition they can sit it out and watch the opposition disintegrate, then take their opportunity

There was a Tory MP on the radio the other day saying that if the UK elected via PR rather than first past the post, the Tory Party would be two separate parties due to the divisions on Europe within it..
