lets be honest, that could be a headline from any other year in about the past 20 years*. it will be losing due to the weaker £ when importing cars into the UK, not exporting parts from the UK, and looking for a government hand out.

Shanks said that Brexit had already cost Ford about $60 million in the second quarter with the cost for the year to run to $200 million. Each year until Britain leaves the EU would cost it $400 million to $500 million, the company said.

Almost a third of Ford's European sales are in the UK.

It would be the same arguments based on predicted outcomes of any agreed negotiation the consequence of which we still wouldn't know for sure, it would be just more claim and counter claim from Remainers and Brexiteers, you like many just cannot bring yourself to accept the result and you just yearn for the UK to remain within the EU, it's your political default position, it's not democracy you care about it's you wanting to impose your own beliefs on those of us that don't agree with you.

Please read my post: the arguments wouldn't be the same because much more information about the implications of leaving would be available. The problem is that you don't seem to trust the people to make fact-based decisions.

I don’t dispute low unemployment. But you can’t just look at this in isolation. For example, when you have an utterly embarrassing level of productivity and it takes someone in the UK twice as long to make something it stands to reason you need more employment. And when all the EU types have gone home and been replaced with work-shy types from Stoke it will only get worse.

The only German car manufacturer holding their own in the UK is Mercedes, though across the board they are out performing most others. The UK figures are shocking and EU manufacturers can't put up prices due to weak demand

To be fair, if he has quoted you correctly - "The UK economy is tanking, the pound is collapsing, unemployment rising", the word IS in your statement isn't a prediction it's a statement that it was happening when you made the post.
