Of course they shouldn't have been allowed to join - although I think the reality is more that they weren't allowed not to join - it was part of the EU's big integration plan, all joined together under one executive, one financial system, etc. - One currency to suit them all, and in the Euro bind them! Fortunately, the UK refused to join the Euro; poor little Greece wasn't strong enough to.They all broke the rules, but Greece took the absolute piss. Austerity could disappear if they actually collected the tax they should. Greece's issues are of it's own making but the Euro enabled them to do it, and really they should not have been allowed to join it.
We didn't vote Leave to help Greece! Though if Brexit is the first step in dismantling the rule of Brussels that may help them in the long term.How will Britain exiting the EU help?
