Not if they won't be allowed in anywhere (except perhaps Norway or Russia) until these new border deals are done.

The EU has a well documented refugee policy; you'll be allowed and welcomed.

That's all well and good but it won't be me leaving - unless The Albion have a match overseas. And to be a refugee don't you need to come from a country where there's conflict? All will be sweetness and light over here after Brexit.

This is great. 60% leavers say they don't mind the economy being hit.....but then it becomes clear...as long as it hits someone else.

https://twitter.com/msmithsonpb/status/892334198316560386

So if 20% of leavers don't want the economy to be hit then does this mean they would vote remain? Interesting.

I wonder what the results would have been if the term damage to the economy which is abstract was replaced with something more real. E.g less money for school, NHS and the military.

It shows how selfish society has become. A lot of oldies (but not all I should add) take the view their benefits will carry on regardless, they don't really care if the economy takes a hit

Their view is Brexit won't effect us, and to be honest it probably won't effect them that much.

If things really do go to sh1t, they should share the pain with the rest of us. But the government protect the grey vote at all costs, its the system, it won't happen

More positive news..

The UK manufacturing sector is defying the doom-mongers, with growing momentum in the sector, helped by a “near-record” expansion in new export orders.

Good news indeed - but the growth in manufacturing optimism is effectively subsidised by a 15% fall in the value of sterling. To be honest, if we weren't performing reasonably well in the manufacturing sector one would have to be REALLY worried. And it's worth noting that the Eurozone PMI index was even higher. So we're doing OK, but still not as good as the rest of Europe - and the rest of Europe haven't had the benefit of a massive currency devaluation.

Basically, the consensus from most financial authorities is that we are facing a catastrophe, predictions of economic crashes were correct just the timing wasn't predicted correctly. Factors such as individual and company spending were unpredictable, they hate changing spending habits unless something drastic like lay-offs occur. Some companies have increased production in a bid to cash in on the "closing down sale" that is the U.K.
But those redundancies are coming and unemployment is coming and spending cuts are coming.

50th floor. So far so good......

You just cannot see it, its plain to see that those asked do not envisage an economic meltdown so in many respects its an irrelevence, its a bit like someone polling you and asking for sake of argument and regardless of it actually ever likely to happen would you support Brexit if it delivered a better economic outcome than if we stayed in, you would somehow find a reason where there would be elements of Remain that you believe are worth keeping even with the suggestion of an economic disadvantage (a disadvantage that you dont beleive will ever happen) !!!

Then of course we could then all throw rotten eggs at you for being a selfish halfwit too, see how easy it is ................................

Genuine question what do you think the advantages of Brexit could be?

You keep saying it mate, the other Moonies will be with you all the way, but you were wrong before, you have currently nothing to show that you are correct now, so why would anyone care or even consider you might be correct in anything you might presume might happen sometime in the future, you are hardly credible are you.

Financial Times seem to agree but then I doubt you opened the link. I regard them as slightly more credible than myself or indeed a Brexit voter such as yourself.

Oh be jesus, we are more than the year down the line from the referendum and you ask a Brexiteer why do you think its a good thing, on post #33593

Well, the goalposts seem to be moving every other day. If you can't answer the question, I understand. It's not an easy question when you actually stop and try and answer it.

The net-migration target, that's never been met, remains unchanged as are Home Office resources. Businesses and public services across all sectors are still wanting immigrants. Perhaps eventually when 'Settled Status' is up and running, which to all intents and purposes is free-movement for EU citizens except they've got to register, EU migration levels to The UK will fall further than they already are and we can look to bring in more migrants from Commonwealth countries as we did years back too, from places like Pakistan and Bangladesh. You'd be okay with that, wouldn't you?
i'm ok with work permits for entry into the UK what about you ?
regards
DR

Of course you are, you don't like foreigners and you don't leave the UK. Problem is, beneficial immigration is dropping, illegal immigration rising so controls are neither here nor there. We have controls now, we just don't inact them. That's nothing to do with the EU.

If for one moment we accept that your question wasnt exclusively to me but for Brexiteers generally, then you might want to start listening to those of us that won the referendum, you might not agree but not to even understand what Brexiteers might see a preferred position is a total lack of understanding of the debate.
