You have to wonder if there’s something in this. Last season, when RDZ was all “making history” with fire in his veins, it felt like the squad would run through walls for him.

Now we have the peeved iteration of RDZ, making oblique references to not being backed and, by extension, that his squad isn’t up to snuff, and the players seem to have lost 10-20% of their va-va-voom.

I’m not saying he’s got to go but it feels like we really need the close season, Uncle Tony’s whiteboard plan for 24/25 and a reset.

We lost at Brentford last season.

I'm really not sure about the ref tonight. He's nowhere near as bad as Darren England etc, but he's nowhere near as good as he thinks he is. Combines absolute confidence in his own judgement with limited ability. Partly the pen decision, partly Buanottes yellow card, some questionable free kicks. I'm not a fan.

Where is our attacking energy? - and really very frustrating after managing some decent build ups we are either tapping it gently into the arms of the GK with a putting iron or firing into the hemisphere with a lob wedge. Bring on Danny!

But I can see why he gave all those decisions. Even if on slo-mo replay they maybe looked possibly wrong. He's been fine.

We lost at Brentford last season.
True enough but look at the season as a whole. The shots per game has definitely tailed off. We might still play keep ball but the pace and incision has fallen away. Injuries are definitely a factor but that iron clad team spirit of last season feels a little more made of tin.

And I sincerely hope we score, the players are lost in a group bundle and RDZ orchestrates the away support with some full blast air punching.
