Both clubs asked last week and was denied
Spurs could have played Rennes today instead
PL is a farce.
France has banned anyone from Britain for business (sport is a business) or tourism.

Apparently, we tried to get the Wolves game postponed, according to this source.

Wtf
Almost worth its own thread... these damn double standards. Club should sue the shit out of the league.
It would be almost impossible to prove double standards and a top 6 bias considering Burnley vs Watford was called off last night, and Fulham and Villa had outbreaks that led to postponements last season.

Genuine question is though, they called the game off 2 and a half hours before KO, so where were Watford at that time? Theres no way they could have travelled between Watford and Burnley in 2 and a half hours, so where and when was the decision made? Seems very strange to me, did Watford refuse to travel?
Happy to go with the flow, however decisions need to be made now and not at the last minute.
Travel to games this weekend costs, and late changes of plan incur charges.
Do it now, or not at all.
Albion have just postponed the Thursday press conference until 9am tomorrow. Waiting for more COVID test results, perhaps?
Postpone every game until January and catch up by cancelling the international breaks.

BoooooooBetter not be postponed I have just completed my MUFC away Covid declaration form
I don’t think the French authorities would have any interest in one of their clubs playing Spurs. They are cancelling all British tourism from the weekend.
They said last night Watford did stay overnight and returned positive tests before the gameThe only thing I can think of is Watford did travel (probably overnight as I assume that is still permitted rather than travel up on the day) and did another test prior to travelling to the stadium that afternoon and this is when new cases came up. I am not sure if Watford would take on the PL in a we aren't travelling so postpone the game/if you don't travel then we'll award the game to Burnley for failure to fulfil a fixture standoff.
