Looks very much like it's all over for Hamilton now, barring a miracle. :(

What we have to remember is that this is his first F1 season, and just because he hasn't managed to do something that even legends like Senna, Prost and Schumacher didn't do shouldn't mean this is seen as a disappointment.

He'll be back next year, the year after and so on, and I've no doubt he'll be a multiple-time World Champion by the time his career is done.

I think some blame can be apportioned to the McLaren team for making an arse of his tyre strategy two weeks ago, but congrats to Kimi and credit where it's due to him.

At least Hamilton will surely have the Sports Personality Of The Year trophy as some small form of consolation.

Yes maybe, but he managed to muck it up today on his own, I have no idea what he was trying at start.
