Good player when he's motivated, has got a terrific shot on him.

Unfortunately for us he played like he couldn't give a shit when he was down here on loan, but then half the team was made up of loaners and was absolute TOILET, so its not surprising he didn't exactly shine in his spell at our athletics track.

I reckon he'll do alright at Naaarch though.

not premiership class. he is a good all round championship player but you need something special to be a premiership player.

I find what happening at Norwich odd. They had a good last season, but with a team of good Championship players. To move upto the Prem league and stay there, I would have thought that they would need some Prem League experience.

So far they have taken Johnson, who Leeds fans here say is very hit and miss in the Championship. Morrison from Millwall who is obviously a good champ player, but can he cut in Prem league. And Bennett (presumably) from us, who is a real gamble at Prem league level.

Maybe Lambert will get some Prem league players, but with the current squad its gonna be a real struggle to stay in the Prem League. Perhaps Norwich are wary of burning their fingers again.........which is understandable.

Is he prem class lads?

I genuinely don't think we're the best people to ask, as he clearly wasn't all that fussed about being at us on loan. It was a training exercise that he got bored with pretty quickly IMHO. Certainly got some talent there, but probably needs a kick up teh arse now and again to ensure that he doesn't coast through games like he did with us a bit.

cheers guys

problem with getting prem players in is will they be that great if clubs are willing to sell?

plus the prices now are getting silly

we've apparently been knocked back on leon osman for 4m and he's 30

Not from anything we saw. As others have said though he clearly didn't want to be here. Decent championship player but that's about it I would say. It seems you guys are building for the Championship next year which seems a little odd. What do you make of your signings so far Mike?

How much are you paying for Johnson? He's the only one out of the signings you've made so far who I'm not sure will cut it in the Prem. He's a strong, powerful player with a decent left foot but there doesn't seem to be much else to his game. Seems the type of player who will be easily outwitted at the highest level. Lambert rarely seems to get it wrong though, so he may still do a job.

EDIT: Scrap that, just realised he's out of contract.

I think you are spending light knowing you'll get relegated but with change from the 40odd million plus the parachute payments you'll be hoping to bounce back again. The bean counters are at work in Norwich which is good for your finances but you are gonna have an awfully depressing season getting whupped out of site on occasions.

My take on Johnson? Nowhere near Premier league class.

Prices are silly, the money Unite and Liverpool are throwing at likes of Jones and Henderson who are hardly world beaters (I know they are young and have potential but come on...) is unbelieveable, even average prem players are going for £10m+ now.

I appreciate what Norwich are doing (buying Bennett aside) but they might need a few proven Premiership players in the right places, particularly in defence, if they want to have any chance of staying up. If they do go down they'll tear the Championship apart so there is that.

i'm pleased with them tbh

we're getting in early and not waiting like last time we got to the prem.

i'd rather hungry in form players lower down than prem cast offs or those just wanting to sample the prem

we don't have the money to buy top prem players so this is the way it has to be now

and if we do go down, i can't see most of the squad breaking up which would be a massive problem

Leon Osman, now he is quality.
How many midfielders do you want/need?
Can we have Andrew Crofts back?

Or even Grant Holt as you`ve got too many forwards too?

By the way Bradley Johnson will be ok in Prem, Leeds did want to keep him.

Am I the only one that thought he did ok for us? 5 goals in 10 games for a poor team at the time, certainly wasn't rubbush as some are saying.
