Same dilemma for me.

I have been an HTC disciple for a number of years and currently have a Desire HD. I love the phone but am becoming increasingly DRAWN to the iphone.

Mrs Hiney got an ipad for Christmas and LOVES it so I am TORN between the HTC Sensation and the iphone 4S

Buy the iPhone 4 (not S neccesarily). You'll never regret it. Intuition and ease are the words that scream out. Simple, clever, fun. There's 3 more. Love it.

Over priced pieces of crap, I went into the apple store today to buy a new Socket for charging my iPhone 4 from the mains. £26 for a little plastic socket some children in Asia built for about £2. Do one apple.

Come on, it's not just any old little plastic socket is it? It's nice and smooth and white and comes in a well engineered box.

If only my iPhone 4 was as well engineered as it's box. The signals absolute shit everywhere (never any issues with my old Nokia on the same network) and the battery life is woeful.

Dont do it!!! I have an Android and my wife the iphone and I cant stand hers.

Funny, it's a similar story in our house but the other way around: I had an iPhone 3G but my wife's only had Androids. She hated to touch the iPhone. Even when her most recent was away for repair for a few weeks she preferred to go back to a non-smartphone than borrow my old iPhone.

My personal feeling is that the phones are okay but being forced to use iTunes on Windows is absolute torture. Probably not so bad if you've got a Mac. It was a relief to retire mine for a phone that I could set up the way I wanted it, rather than the way that Steve Jobs decided that I ought to want it.

Oh god don't even get me started on iTunes, the single worst piece of Windows Software going.

iPhone 4S is amazing, and is better than the iPhone 4 as a general phone. Signal is better, it is faster and Siri can be useful from time to time.

However there is a minor bug at the moment RE AirPlay streaming, but this is soon to be fixed by a new software version

I would definitely take the plunge!

I'm also loath to pay up my current contract and then lay down a shit load more money to get another overpriced slab of mediocrity, I'll be saying goodbye to apple products asap.
