You'd probably have to miss the bank holiday match v Derby as well
Would be a bit of an adventure though

Pffft. Watch the Derby game. Have a couple of pints. Leave the Amex at, say, 6:30pm. Walking for four days & one hour, plus four hours break throughout gets you to Boro by 11:30pm on the night before the game, which gives you at least twelve good hours to sleep it off, providing you kip on a bench outside the Riverside and don't mind being woken up by fans arriving at the ground.

True fans would do it.

Alternatively, a group of us could stagger the walking in a tag team format. Get some Midlands and Northern gulls involved. 50 miles each.

0.8 miles from Middlesbrough station to the Riverside sounds sooooooo much easier taking 17 minutes

Even better if you go by coach...

And you can give the money you saved to those who walked.
