yes he could well be. He would woop the slimeball Cameron anytime in a contest, and Dave slimed his way into no10. Just a question of oppertunnity and luck.

Leader of the tory party Yes

Prime minster No

Surely the leader of the Tory party will be PM for the foreseeable future taking into account the clowns that are their opponents. I am 69 and do not envisage seeing another labour government during my life time, well hopefully not and I do not intend leaving this earth until an old age.

He will. But merely as a tool to ensure the Tories stay in power. He will be 'PM', but others will be making decisions.

He's 6/1 to be PM within next 10 years, I think this is a bit skinny but then it is Corals.

British Politics Boris Johnson Specials Betting Odds | Politics and Election Betting

A scenario that could see this happen:

- Cameron fucks up
- Labour win next election
- Boris becomes Tory leader
- Milliband fucks up
- Tories win next election

(Of course he'd need to become an MP somewhere along the line as well)

I'd want a double figure price for all that to happen before I lumped on. :moo:

Voted no for PM, although I think he has a decent chance of leading the Tories when Butch Cameron fails to win a General Election again.

Your be celebrating your 71st/72nd with a labour government in power lol

Tis odd how a mere essence of character can popularise one. It says more about the blandity of all other main political figures that such a rightwing buffoon might find national power. I suppose some would say he is "his own man", but what good is being your own man if your man is an utter turnip.

I saw this dick, if you remember me reporting, cycling around a roundabout in north London one early Saturday morning a few years ago. He waved at a few who idled along the pavement, dreaming they might want him to, but was in the middle lane and without a helmet on his head for protection. Also, in his right hand, he held a wooden tennis racket. A hairy fart in the face of road safety regulations and a terrible example of being a responsible citizen. My wish for a speedy motorist to honk and drag him into the gutter was not made true. I foolishly shouted "sort it out Boris", or something equally punily inane. pah, to me.

Thank you for that insightful political comment MB, maybe you could cover for Paxman on his days off??

Boris is probably the only potential leader of the Tories who could bring the UKIP vote back.
Cameron will lose the next General Election due to the right wing vote split.

The Tories have not won a General Election since 1992 and Labour are well ahead in the opinion polls.

Don't think it will happen anytime soon even if Boris is fast-tracked as an MP but wouldn't mind betting the Tory hierarchy are very tempted by the thought that Boris Johnson would probably blow Ed Miliband away on charisma alone. Ed looks very feeble as leader even though Labour are doing well in the polls against a wobbling coalition etc so he will get totally owned if Boris becomes Tory leader. I don't think Ed could beat Boris, more likely Boris would trip himself up.

Actually when you listen to Boris when he has his serious head on he does make quite a lot of sense. He certainly gave Ken Livingstone a battering in the Mayoral election campaign, but clearly doesn't have the gravitas or statesman ship to lead the country.

TNS-BMRB have released a new poll with topline figures of CON 31%(+3), LAB 44%(nc), LDEM 8%, Others 17%(-2). That translates to a 112 seat majority for lab. Thank f*** NSC dosnt represent the rest of the country
