Booming wife again..... Holiday v Playoff final conundrum !

My wife & I agreed on a holiday desination and a rough time when to go to celebrate our ten year wedding anniversary...

She just emailed me with the following dates followed by the love you lots and cant wait etc.....

However reading the email I came across this bit......

Leaving Gatwick at 3.20pm on Friday 19th May.

Play off final day

Now please help I have only a few hours before she will start hassling me with the if you loved me threats. I have not told her yet as I just double checked the dates for the final. Should I risk a ladies backlash of holy hell or bite the bullit and just risk it and go with the flow....


I just would wanna die if we got to the Play offs against someone like Southampton and won while im in the air knowing nothing until four hours later

Here's a thought. Go down to the bookies and ask for a price on Brighton being in the final. Place a bet that will cover the cost of the holiday. You can then book another holiday with the proceeds of the bet. Think of it as an Insurance policy.

Best advice I've ever seen on NSC! The odds must be long enough to make it work?!

The lesson is to check before agreeing dates. I also screwed up and will miss the last week of the proper season, because I wanted an early break - BUT I will be back for the play-offs. I could have changed the dates, but decided marital bliss and the (possible) play-offs were more important!
