El Abd a good squad member? Who for? Bognor Regis?
Harsh and Booker is not even the assistant anyway! Slade has always been able to bring in his own people.
Good luck to him if true maybe Port Vale fans will pay him a bit more respect than some on here

Perhaps HE'LL show THEM a little more respect than he did to the fans here?
Or possibly he'll just serve up a load of shit, then tell them they 'just have to stick with it', and claim no-one ever told him they had to be out of the bottom four by ........
granted it was poorly worded but I was trying to say about Booker and the abuse he got/gets not about Adams. My bad
If it is true,I am amazed Adams is on the shortlist for the 'Vale' job, having proved such a disaster for us.Heaven knows what he said at interview to explain away what went wrong at Brighton!!He completely lost the plot.I hope he gets it purely through the intrigue it will generate to see how well he does. After his utterly disastrous spell here I find it slightly strange that the man still has the confidence in his ability to manage; you could sense in his interviews, his timid nature in the dugout and the effect he was having on the team that he was all but stricken of faith in his managerial 'talent'; either that or he was genuinely demented.
Many of us will expect him to fail at Vale, and rightly so. But if he does get the job, I for one will be interested to see his approach, whether it is the same ineptness he patrolled round with him here probably leading to similar failures or whether he changes his tack and actually takes up some kind of leadership of the squad complemented by good signings (please let it be Hawkins and Livermore) and tactical guile. Surely he won't be the same broken, futile man again?

why rightly so?
i for one wish him well. unlike you nob head
Brentford?Where, other than Brighton, have they worked together?
Who has mayo signed for?
Seems unlikely to me, unless Booker is sacked. he is happy at Brighton, he lives locally, his wife loves living here, Brighton have more ambition than Port Vale etc etc.
Also if Adams liked working with Booker so much why didn't he take him to Leicester or Coventry?
If MA gets the job he'll be making enquiries about Hawkins , McLeod , Livermore and El Abd to strengthen the Port Vale squad.
Booker is staying. He, White and Slade had a great working relationship at the end of last year and it produced results, why change a winning formula??
Where, other than Brighton, have they worked together? Leicester? No. Coventry? No. Thats how much he likes working with him. He's given him a job twice and two times he hasnt.
