Neither here nor there
Definitely heard booing. I guess more as a venting of frustration than getting on the backs of the players. In other words, booing the result, not the individuals.

I’ve never booed a Brighton team as it’s just not something that sits right with me but if others do, well, they paid to get in and I guess that’s their right.

I get why he does it, but he must have worked out that opposition teams also know why he’s doing. I’m interested in what @Weststander raises re Steele’s distribution variety versus Bart’s.
I get why he does it but when it was clearly working i.e. pretty much every player in our half and 3 strikers on 3 defenders we did not put the ball forward quick enough and that sometimes means route 1 football.

Liverpool are more than happy playing tippy/tappy but also not adverse to long (frequent) balls out the back. Yes they have Salah, Diaz etc but we don't have a clue what Minteh would do because in most games by the time he gets the ball there's a packed defence in front of him.

We’ve been here before. It only takes a few hundred fans booing for it to sound like the whole crowd. In East Upper I’d say it was no more than 50 loudly booing. Everyone else just looked at them in bemusement.

Wasn’t able to make this game but definitely heard booing loud and clear on the Amazon audio at the end. Was quite shocked actually. Mentioned in Guardian and I match reports.
Yup it was heard on TV as well. Loud and clear.

Shocked I was not. It was very similar to the "boogate" game against Leeds which also finished 0-0: lots of emotions from the last few games culminating with this one.

And bit like the Leeds game it was also our best games in several weeks or even months.

Its like Potter said after that one, "sometimes it is justified booing, in this game I don't think it was".

Its a little unfortunate. Could have had a boo choir against Palace or Southampton and it would all make sense but after yesterday when we worked really hard and created chances... it gets counterproductive to plant more seeds of worry and frustration in the heads of the players.

It is what it is though and hopefully will have limited impact. A lot of our players come from places where both success and failure is met with more explosive reaction. Take someone like Bart: ok, he heard a few boos last night but back in Anderlecht he wouldn't have been able to leave the stadium without police escort if they had not won in six games. Not to mention our South American players.

All in all.. understandable, unjustified, suboptimal, but most of all "not a big thing".

I was also at home watching on Amazon and now glad I didn't drive down from Lincolnshire for that. I wasn't shocked by the booing. There was a lot of frustration at the team's lack of urgency in the latter part of the game to try and beat a team not at their best. We've seen that before.

EDIT: I see someone beat me to this in the previous post!

I (and others in ESU) clapped them off, but I could hear boos from the West stand. It confused me - were they booing the ref, a Brentford player?

If they were booing our team, then they are utter dickheads.

Very good performance which made a decent Brentford team look poor. Just frustrating because there was no end product.

Booing completely unjustified - what absolute tw*ts some of our fans are.

I can only speak for the sections I can see clearly over in EU (E,F,G) but you get a very small number leaving before 85. For an evening match, especially one as frustrating as tonight, slightly more. You do get a few more leaving as 90 approaches but not enough to create "huge gaps". That’s hyperbole. Might be different in the lower tier, where more families sit, and at the N end of the ES. I can’t really see them from where I sit.

The best was against Brentford, funnily enough, when Mitoma brought the ball down and lobbed it over their goalie. That pulsating 3-3 was such a long way from tonight's frustrating affair. Both sides had more than 20 shots each on target that afternoon.
And we should have had a pen for a clear handball in the last minute. So many decisions went against us that season.

Booing the Albion players imho. No one was bothered by FH, officials, opponents.

I base that on increasing venting in the last 20 minutes as snatched shots to row z, or dithering.

Didnt boo - but people have a right to express their frustration at our inability to convert our dominance into goals scored, and games won. Another OTT post from your account

i did boo when I saw the EDF busses yesterday as I didn’t see anywhere where it said EDF was being used!
