I would take a punt on Reading if they fail to go up. They have parachute payments still and afterall threw LOADS of money at Wayne Bridge.

Where ever he ends up, I really hope he gets to play at the Amex at least once, even if it's only for ten minutes. What a reception he would get; the man's a bona fide Albion legend. It'd be a great way to say thank you and farewell to him.

Turning that on it's head, imagine if he signed for Reading, came on at The Amex for the last 10 minutes and scored the winner or, heaven forbid, score the winner in a play-off final at Wembley (N.B it hasn't escaped me that this latter scenario could still pan out re QPR vs Brighton).

One of the reasons FOR signing him is simply to prevent emotional scarring occurring by seeing him score AGAINST us at Falmer and/or having him bag 15 goals for a rival to knock us out of the promotion picture. It is a small reason I grant you, but a reason nonetheless.

There's that old cliche: "Never go back". I seriously think it applies in the case of BZ.

He's a crock at present and has been very injury prone over the last few years. Sadly I think he's too much of a sicknote these days to even take a punt on, even more so if he's looking for a last big payday. When he has been fit, his form has been nothing above average for QPR by accounts.

We saw and enjoyed the best of him. I think we should leave it at that.

What, you mean the 10,000 people buying the new Nike replica kit with ZAMORA on the back? The club are hell bent on increasing revenue while staying within FFP, so he is likely to be a 'pull factor' for many fans and commercial factors are relevant.

I very much doubt that Bobby's return would mean an extra 10,000 kits sales over and above what we would have sold.

But that's a consideration way down the list behind the likes of... (1) can he still do the business? (2) will he fit in to Oscar's style? (3) how much is he going to set us back?

Everything else is a footnote.

Similarly, if the vast majority of fans thought Bobby was past it and it was better not to go there a second time then I suspect Bloom would also take note of that.

I really hope Oscar Garcia and David Burke don't do business with this mind.

I said at the top of the previous page I believe Bloom will trust the judgement of his management and scouting team, but the fact remains Zamora will be on the market, someone is going to sign him and we will need a striker of his ilk - Obika clearly isn't going to be the answer.

And if we DO sign him I WILL be getting a replica shirt with his name on - for my 8 year-old son.

My gut feeling is that it won't happen and that he'll end up at Reading.

I could forgive him, I think.

Besides, its highly unlikely to happen. He's played nine games this season. He's scored one goal in his last 28 games. The only team he's been prolific in is us. Let him join Brentford or Orient if they get promoted, he can then come on to a rousing, glorious standing ovation in the last ten minutes. It'll be the send off he deserves but was never able to get all the time we were at withdean.

It might help if you used your abacus before making this sort of claim.
Last season, the income BHA received from merchandise per person/per game was £2.27 (£4.39 in 2011/12). These figures assume no cup matches, online or non-matchday sales.

We have a lot of people wearing rose tinted BZ spectacles. If he wants money, he will have to move abroad, if he wants any sort of a contract, here he will need to start playing. As for coaching this is a guy who confesses never to watch football because he finds it boring. Best of luck to him and many happy memories, but coaching staff ? be serious.

This... I do think he's looking at pay-per-game at any club in England, contracted (and "big salary") only if he goes abroad and only if its outside Europe... Middle/Far East probably.

To stay in the SE I'd hope he's was banking those premier paychecks so he can afford to play for love rather than money.

I actually met Bobby recently and he is fully fit and available for loan. He thought the loan terms being offered were reasonable but he's had no offers at all.

This was nearly 2 weeks back so I would imagine QPR's decline will decrease the number of Championship clubs they are prepared to loan him to.
