Yes, the X Factor is wages. Some players are content to take the biggest pay cheque and sit on the bench. If he's prepared to do that there are several Prem clubs that would be happy to have him as back-up if he could pass the medical.

But if he wants game-time then it's got to be the Championship.

I think that it very unlikely that a championship club woukd want him now and definitely not a Premier. His best bet at that level is either Orient or Brentford if they get promoted but I would think he will either go to USA or retire. We do not need him or want him remember him as he was for us not as he is now

I think it could work and be similar to when Robbie Fowler returned to Liverpool. Despite being well past his prime, he still made some worthwhile contributions as a squad player. Could be valuable backup to Ulloa as he's capable of playing the same role.

Having seen the back-up strikers we've had in the last few seasons I would take a chance but it depends on many factors. At the moment the club has no real like for like replacement at c/f and nobody knows how fit Zomora is, would he want to come, he,s made alot of money in his career so would he want big wages, but it's all up to OG. As a back-up to play now and then I think he's worth it.

I think the expectation of his contribution would be as a back-up to Ulloa, a 3rd / 4th striker alongside CMS and Hoskins.

If you look at the combined record of the "4th" striker this season (Barnes, Lita, Obika, Lingard, Barker, David Rodriguez) it is 47 matches, 8 goals. Significantly, take Barnes out the equation and it's 23 games, 2 goals. Right now we're paying Obika, David Rodriguez and Lingard: I fancy Bobby would score more and cost less than those three combined.

No transfer fee as he's out of contract, the enhanced TV deal means Prem clubs will be able to afford his wages. If he's fit he'll come into the equation - a fit Zamora would be getting game time at the likes of Fulham, Cardiff, West Brom, Sunderland now even if only as sub.

I agree, but his injury record has been horrendous. I can't see anyone paying Prem wages for a player who spends most of his time on the treatment table. Think he'll definitely want to drop down the divisions if he wants to find a new club.
