People who blame "foreigners" (usually meaning by that "anyone not white") for their problems/their country's ills, do it because it's an easy explanation and saves them having to think for a second whether they themselves or their ilk might be to blame in any way.
Interestingly, I wonder if the Spanish ever complain about the 300,000 British ex-pats who currently live out there. Are we stealing Spanish jobs? UK gap year students all over Australia- should they be dragged back and told to stop stealing Aussie employment? Or is it different rules when those involved are all broadly the same colour?
