Yikes! Was dozing, half asleep at 9am this morning, when there was this almighty "ARMED POLICE, DON'T MOVE!" from outside my house. Looked out the window and saw a load of plain-clothed police with machine guns surrounding this white teenage lad. One of my neighbours say they kicked the shit out of him while he was on the floor. They're still here now, more turning up all the time.

Streets been blocked off, Polish car parked outside my house has been opened up and is being examined now. All very exciting, but it rules out me driving to today's game!

It's common practice. we kick the shit out of just about anyone we can get hold of, particularly if they happen to be innocent and not guilty of anything. It helps also if you happen to be black or any other ethnic minority then you can virtually guarantee a good shoeing. Personally I pick on immigrants and asylum seekers and make sure I have some drugs on me from a previous job so I can plant it on them and laugh when they get charged with possession. I love my job :glare:

I love these stories when people just accept as fact third hand information. My neighbour told me blah blah..... So you didn't actually see it for yourself then? And what about what this guy may have been doing, was he armed, maybe he had a knife? who knows?

Admittedly the police do f*** up sometimes and it can be serious as in the case of the 'Brazilian' terrorist, poor Mr De Menezes. Give us a break hey?

Nah, the guy was armed with pea-shooter from a 1987 copy of Whizzer & Chips.

I'm inclined to agree mr jonogulls.

The fact of the matter is you have to be seriously braindead to want to go into the police force in the first place so it's little wonder they are such corrupt and incompetant bullies.

Bit of a generalisation.

Would you rather no cops and mob rule with kangaroo courts ?

No, I'd rather the cops weren't such twats.

People's opinions of the Police would go up if after when they stop you driving home at night in a perfectly lawful way in a perfectly legal vehicle, they said at the end 'sorry to hold you up sir, please be on your way', instead of trying to justify it.

It would be but they have to give a valid reason for stoppinfg you or they could get thrown off the force if a complaint were to arise.
