That's rubbish, though, Fatboy, cos they just lie and make it all up anyway. The phrase 'thick as thieves' comes to mind.
Mate of mine got royally stitched up by the police a while back when out for a night in Covent Garden. Cop car accelerated towards him, no siren or lights, he jumped out of the way and shouted "wankers", but they screeched to a halt and nicked him for being drunk and disorderly. They pinned him to the floor and left him with a boot print on his back.
Of course in court they said that he jumped out in front of the car and started shouting abuse at them. Mate got a conditional discharge. Wankers.
Not all, but a hell of a lot of bizzies are thugs. Of course this is a sweeping statement, but you do get the feeling that rather than beating up someone and getting arrested, policemen beat someone up and then do the arresting.
