As others have said, the Premier League teams now have to pick a squad of 25 players they can use until january. They can't have that rule, and then say that you can't use 10 of them because they didn't play in a previous game. It's not cheating, they've picked a team of 11 players to play a football match. They could have won, they didn't throw the match in any way, shape or form. They picked a team that looks weaker than their previous one, but it's Holloway's decision. He did nothing wrong, they shouldn't be fined.

Can't see how he can be fined as he's said that he picked what he regarded as the strongest 11, unlike McCarthy who admitted that he rested fit players. If anyone questions the team it would be easy for Holloway to say that the 10 dropped players all looked knackered in training or something.

Anyone remember Zamora being rested for an end of season mid week game at Halifax when we'd already won division 3? It ended 0-0 and the point meant Halifax survived. I expect that whoever it was that did go down that year (Chester?) would have been pissed off that we'd dropped the league's top striker in a game vital to their relegation rivals.

I think his only true principal is that "I must make a complete jackass of myself at all times while bad mouthing everyone along the way". He started out as a top bloke when the season kicked off. I think everyone was following his progress with Blackpool and wishing them all the best. But as time went on and he became the soundbite king and openly insulted other clubs. In honour of Villa's newest signing, get BENT Holloway.
