What a farce of a football club?

Apparently when The Venkys brought Blackburn, they thought they were buying a franchise & didn't realise the concept of relegation. Who's going to break the news to them?

The Venkys may be piss poor owners but Blackburn Fans have behaved like twats. Their treatment of Steve Keene has been a disgrace. Tonight instead of getting behind their team, they spent the evening spitting venom at the manager. No manager deserves to have golf & tennis balls thrown at them. They deserve to go down.

What a bold act of bravado from the fan who tore up his season ticket on the last game of the season & threw it into the dugout in protest? What a sacrifice? Just one problem - The halfwit threw it into the Wigan dugout by mistake?! :dunce:

See you next season lads.

They won't be welcome down here next season, just a bunch of ignorant northerners.

Whatever else is happening, you have to support the team and manager.

So no boycotts or walk outs then? No concentrating on berating the owners instead of supporting the team? No abandonments of games?

We did all of these things to help get rid of our owners, so I don't think we can criticise.

I'm amazed that some of you can't see the parallels with this and the dark days of the mid 90's. I guess NSC is now full of JCL with minimal knowledge of the numerous goldstone protests.

Couldn't agree more. The abuse that Gritt receive when he first joined was not dissimilar to that which Kean is receiving at Blackburn.

The only difference is that the fans did eventually get behind Gritt when he came out and as near criticised the board as he could at that point in time.

So Keans agent isn't friends with the Venkys?

He was party to the plan to get rid of big Sam and happily took took the job. He knew exactly what he was doing.

The fans weren't great but all this love for Kean is seriously misguided!

There is no crime in being party to a plan to get rid of an existing manager. To give an Albion example, Chris Cattlin may well have been party to the fact the Albion board were trying to get rid of Jimmy Melia. Similarly, Barry Lloyd may well have been party to the fact the Albion board were trying to get rid of Alan Mullery. Being given notice that you may be asked to succeed a current incumbent soon is a normal part of business.

This!

I have no sympathy for the millionaire footballers and the millionaire manager. They have let the fans down disgracefully.

I haven't read this whole thread - but - THANK GOD FOR TONY BLOOM!

I makes you appreciate what we have. Venkys went in to this with the wrong intentions from day one. I remember when Venkys where just about to take over, Radio 5 live did an interview with them, and asked them if they had ever visited Blackburn in which they answered no. I thought they where joking when they said this. What sort of people take over a club without visiting of even staying in the area for a few months, meeting the supporters and understanding the area.

The whole Blackburn thing has been a complete and utter joke. These people will never be true supporters ever and this is why we are so lucky to have Tony Bloom.

I thought the fans treatment earlier (and no doubt last few weeks too) in the season of Kean was pretty poor show.

They say that the fans is the 12 man on the pitch. If they had got more behind the manager/team, they could have picked up the odd extra point here and there and still be in the PL.

If/When fans want to protest, do so AFTER the 90 minutes are up.

Is it just me that REALLY likes Steve Kean.

Placed in a ridiculous position and always comes across as a guy with class.

Don't like him at all - not a proper manager. It was an impossible task, agreed, but I bet he was on a good whack, and as no-one else is likely to give him a job, he had no choice but to stick it out. He may be a good coach, I don't know, but manager, certainly not.

I can't believe how many happy clappers on this thread are wanking over kean, especially given our recent past.

If that situation had happened here we would've done the same thing as the Blackburn fans, no doubt about it.

This. Kean is a useless back stabbing wanker and a shit manager. They've had one shot on target in their last 3 games and have been WOEFUL. The less said about the Venkys the better -utter muppets.

My only criticism of Blackburn's fans is that they might have called a truce and got behind him in the last 2 home games for the good of the club, but I won't judge them for not doing so.

Absolutely.

My memory may be playing tricks on me but I'm sure I can remember quite a few of our managers getting stick in the dark days of Archer & Bellotti and at Gillingham - Case, Wood for starters. Lloyd also got pelters when working in almost impossible conditions.

Anyone who thinks our fans would have stayed behind a manager like Kean is deluded.

I absolutely do not blame the Blackburn fans reaction and behaviour towards Kean and the oweners since the Venkeys took charge, it is entirely justified.

They binned Allardyce when they were comfortable midtable, installed a STOOGE in Kean who would never dare criticise the owners or make any waves, announced ridiculous nonsensical grandiose plans of challenging for a Champions League spot, made misguided and embarrassing noises about bringing in Beckham, then made £5m available in the transfer window and said any further additions would have to be loans. They rarely if ever appear in the UK, they do not consult the Board on any decisions (the sakcing of Allardyce and installation of Kean was done with zero consultation). Any meetings with Kean involve him flying out to India. They've heaped further embarrassment and humiliation on the club using the players in cringeworthy TV ad's for their chickens.

They have bought Blackburn Rovers with no understanding whatsoever of its history or culture, and with no clue of what is involved in running a Premier League club. Venkeys have taken BRFC down, ably assisted by Steve Kean, and now they are all stuck with each other in the Championship.

If I was a Blackburn fan, I would be going disco mental at the lot of them. They have utterly ruined that club.

In a crater in the sea.
At the start of the season I put a bet on Kean to be the first manager sacked. Thought I was in too; when the fans were protesting. I even wrote an email of complaint to the Venkys pretending to be a Blackburn fan. Didn't work. I lost money because of those b******s.
