Sadly some of the nobheads on this thread have been justifying the violence we are seeing now. If this carries on for a few more days, other more dangerous ideologies will be coming out to play and will turn it up to a whole new level.

I know that there are opportunists who hate Britain and will use this for their own alternative agenda. I hope I am wrong.

It's also ironic that Sadiq Khan mentions racism around the world but doesn't mention the slavery of Africans going on in Libya today.

It's not just "white" people who were involved in African slavery and racism if people check the history. The only difference is that we acknowledge and regret our part in it.

Mobs of dickheads using this as justification for abhorrent violence.

Just didn’t see that coming at all.

Wonder how many covid deaths this will result in down the line, by those exposing themselves willingly or otherwise, or just those resulting from a spike in transmission.

Not exactly making much of a case that any life matters currently.

Bring out the power hoses.

If these vids from London are showing nothing else it's that BLM are certainly empowering these young black lads . And that's one of the aims isn't it?

Newmarket.
There will come soft rains and the smell of the ground,
And swallows circling with their shimmering sound;

And frogs in the pools singing at night,
And wild plum trees in tremulous white,

Robins will wear their feathery fire
Whistling their whims on a low fence-wire;

And not one will know of the war, not one
Will care at last when it is done.

Not one would mind, neither bird nor tree
If mankind perished utterly;

And Spring herself, when she woke at dawn,
Would scarcely know that we were gone.

Southern trees bear a strange fruit
Blood on the leaves and blood at the root
Black bodies swingin' in the Southern breeze
Strange fruit hangin' from the poplar trees

Pastoral scene of the gallant South
The bulgin' eyes and the twisted mouth
Scent of magnolias sweet and fresh
Then the sudden smell of burnin' flesh

Here is a fruit for the crows to pluck
For the rain to gather
For the wind to suck
For the sun to rot
For the tree to drop
Here is a strange and bitter crop

Is that meant to be ironic?

The absence of football, covid, brexit and now this has turned NSC into a dysfunctional mess. It's not pretty. Roll on some wins and we'll be right as ninepence.

Just one slight problem with that...

Your post pictures the catalytic event for the protests we are seeing and puts it against an image of an incident in Zimbabwe, what was the comparison for if it was not to say "whatabout police brutality in Zimbabwe"?

I'd suggest that you read the comment that goes with the picture and not just look at the picture itself, because that is not what I said at all. Why you feel the need to twist my words is beyond me, but carry on if it suits your purpose.

You've actually likened me to a planet-wrecking racist.

People thought Boris Johnson was a likeable buffoon. Seems that there is no such thing...

I don't recall voicing an opinion on this matter.

That said, hundreds, maybe thousands, of people thought it was a good idea. Including the collective will of NSC.

But you spent 40 Note Fund money in doing it, which was not what people handed their hard earned cash over for, but we’ve got the Amex, so let’s park that one.

Look Al I was trying to lighten the mood with the stuff that was being levelled at you. 👍
