Definitely this.

All the brilliant football we've played under Potter has been fantastic. But if there is one consistent frustration about supporting the Albion it is the pathetic mismanagement of finances by Tony Bloom and his team of senior executives.

They are literally clueless when it comes to money and making deals.

Too right! Bloody self-made billionaires :nono:

What do they know when it comes to making money?

Clause of £5 million if Spuds win a trophy, not much fear of that happening

The Ben White deal was none too shabby. Decent deal for BDB also

Possibly the daftest post I have ever read on this forum. What do you want Tony to do when a player runs down his contract ?
I’m also guessing you weren’t around in previous eras of ownership.

Is it though ? 25 - 30 for a guy with only a year on his deal... I think that sounds about right, and the sooner we get the money in the sooner we can sort ourselves out are my thoughts.

I'd say that accepting such an offer for a highly coveted player so early in the transfer window is unusual for us. I agree that it's important to get the money in this summer, but the window has been open for 4 days and we've got another 13 weeks to get ourselves the best deal.

The post you are quoting is either a wind up or written by a Palace fan surely?.

We’d never sell him to a direct rival. Especially a club below us. Worth the -£10m (which we got back on the last day of the season).

Direct rival of what? Mid table? I'm sorry but that isn't worth £10m.

If true sounds like Tony has gambled and lost this time.

If you’ve invested over £500M and continue to plug our astronomical losses every season - would you rather £22M now or £0 in 12 months?

I agree but losses are being paid for by TB, they are though not the figure announced from the balance sheet as lot of this is write down and not physical losses. Still astronomical to us!

Good deal for someone with only a year left. Hopefully we have a sell on clause and other add ons.

So our highest ever league placing has increased the "prize" money by way over £15m. Without Biss we could have finish 5 places further down the league. Not only would this have meant we would have spent the last few months looking downwards but we would have missed out on more than £15m. 9th gets £26.4m 16th gets £11m.

Wonder if the reporting - none as yet afaik - from the local reporters close to the club might have a different take on size of the fee and the progress of the deal ?

10 million is a fraction more than the difference in prize money between finishing 12th and finishing 9th, which was a three point gap. If keeping Bissouma and missing out on 10 million was a difference then it's arguable that he's actually won.

Of course - but with the number of clubs interested you'd hope the club would have been able to squeeze a much higher fee than that (£30m+)
