Doubt he’ll join Liverpool or ManC. Amongst many things, they look for consistency of performances and effort when scouting. Chelsea have Kante, Jorginho, Gallagher, with Chelsea fan Rice waiting in the wings.

It’ll be a £40m punt this summer by either:
Arsenal
Villa
Spuds
Newcastle
Everton
Manure

He's been consistent for nearly 2 seasons!
All the big teams know exactly what they would be getting.

Harsh to be digging him out, not great today or at United but I think he’s got more than enough credit in the bank to forgive a couple of poor performances… Burnley taught us a lesson today, not just Biss but every Brighton player on that pitch…

I’m not talking about this from an Albion perspective, but the standards sought by the top 3.

They look for performance levels in every game. I saw this Jota when was signed, instead of Traore, a curve ball that threw the press.

They can select from across the globe. Whereas Arsenal for example face the issue of not offering CL football, they cannot get consistently elite players across the transfer line.

Very fair, but frankly he doesn’t warrant a place in the team at the moment based on todays form and Utd.

Pretty much this. I don't think we'll get as much as £40M though. We'll see if I'm right in (or wrong) about six month's time.

All players have a slump in form his levels are usually so high but hard to single anyone out today. My bigger fear with Biss is who is replacing him if (as expected) he leaves in the summer. There is an expectation this is Caicedo but he is not getting any minutes of note in the PL so would be a big ask to go from nowhere to starting.

Everyone seems to assume that Caicedo is a like-for-like replacement, but he doesn’t really seem like a Bissouma type player from what little I’ve seen of him so far. I’m not that concerned about replacing him directly (as long as the money is well spent). He’s missed about 7-8 games this season through injury, a one-match suspension and the AFCON anyway and we’ve done well enough without him. In fact some of our best performances have been without him.

What about Watford and Spurs ?

Spurs he played well, and of course Watford he was ok against a tiring, poor team.

I don’t think he looks himself, and seem to recall reading somewhere that as he was leaving his previous team his level dropped. Everyone is allowed a poor game, but shooting off down the tunnel, without receiving the normal adulation is unlike him.

The other thing is, he may or may not have a number of things on his mind at the moment, including interest from other clubs. I think we as supporters (particularly myself), sometimes forget these are all young men, and the slightest thing may send them off kilter.

I would leave him out.

Rolls Royce of a player who’s had a bad couple of games. I do wonder if we turned down a bid in Jan (Villa?) and he’s peed off. But hopefully he’ll be back on it quickly.

Definitely been turned by ****ing Gerard constantly banging on about singing him - so will he bother turning up v Villa if selected??!!

Hindsight, I know, but I didn’t like the look of his demeaner on Tuesday night (when he has a poo second half). Was half expecting him to be dropped to the bench today anyway.

I put it down on Tuesday as not being match sharp.
