Prince William has six fingers?
It’s a well known fact that all Villa supporters have 6 fingers (well technically 5 and a thumb) per hand and 12 toes, due to the inbreeding I understand!

Well.....for a while. Gerrard has already left football (he's managing in Saudi Arabia). Lamps is out of work, and Rooney is about to start his final manager job, at age 30 something.
The difference between Gerrard's Villa and Emery's Villa is so stark that it should be clear to every club chairman what Gerrard's tactical ability is. Next England manager?

"No outward signs of managerial ability."

Granted, they are walking definitions of yesterday's men and long outstayed their welcome, but regardless this doesn't stand up to any scrutiny whatsoever.

Bruce's record was excellent until maybe the last 3 or 4 years of his managerial career, and Pulis and Allardyce were huge successes at Stoke and Bolton. Pulis was called "Stoke's greatest ever manager" by their chairman in 2011 (9th 3 years in a row, FAC final, Europa league football), Allardyce took Bolton to 5th, a League cup final and Europe.

Call me when Rooney, Gerrard and Lampard can hold a candle to those records.
Bruce, Pulis and Allardice were all tactically astute. Their teams were not pretty on the eye but they were tactically innovative. Pulis, in particular, built a successful team around long throws, set pieces and long balls, completely bypassing midfield.

The Villa fans I know were all delirious when Gerrard was appointed, ‘the best manager we’ve ever had’. But that’s Villa fans for you. Now they are saying the same about Dick Emery although on this occasion they may be closer to the truth. I’d still suggest Ron Saunders remains in pole position though (for now at least).

Not great. Can’t really be down to just him after 2 games, but he wasn’t a popular appointment in the first place and then when you lose back to back games …..
If he came with Birmingham near bottom he wouldn't be getting booed after 2 games, but sack a winning manager, unfairly, sitting in 6th place and winning matches, you've almost got to come in and win straight away.

He hasn't and the fans are pissed off!

To be fair, they were 6th but lots of the fans had been anti-Eustace until those 2 wins following some other dire performances away from home and 6th was only about 3 points off 15th given that the league is very tight so was a bit misleading. But I take your general point.

I don't think Prince William is the result of much in-breeding amingst Villa supporters! Still appears to have one digit too many, on his right hand (the visible one in the picture) at least.

Tim Sherwood’s tenure was memorable.

I think that’s the banter. You’ll likely find this picture was done as a mock up by some local rivals!

Stains 2 up in 20 minutes.

Out by December?
Mrs DiS, who was there today and looking at him through her binoculars said that 1) he seemed to have zero relationship with the rest of his bench or the players…. And 2) he’s very fat.

maybe that (2) explains her complaint that there weren’t any pies….

What a shockingly bad appointment. How Eustace got that bunch to 6th is a miracle.

The squad is actually not that bad, there are about 6 first team players out though. The table is so tight that not many points separate top 6 from bottom 6, I’d say the squad should be capable of top 6 and even now they aren’t that far off it, but heading rapidly in the wrong direction.

'Wazza' not having a great time of it at the moment. One win in the eight games he's been in charge and currently 1-0 to Coventry...

Decent game. Cov a bit like us under Potter - all the possession and nice play, but not clinical. They've also got a great Japanese winger!

Just noticed the name Lukas Jutkiewicz on the BBC live feed and thought "bloody hell, is he still at Brum?". He scored Birmingham's goal in THAT Albion win there in the promotion-winning season when he was on loan from Burnley. He agreed a long-term deal to join them permanently three days after Albion's win.

In all the time he's been there Brum haven't finished above 17th in the Championship. Crikey.

I know a lot of Blues fans. Very worrying what’s happening on the pitch there at the moment, less so off it which I guess is at least a positive.

Jutkiewicz is an absolute hero amongst the Blues faithful, they absolutely adore him and it's commonly known he's turned down EPL move since he's been there to stay at St Andrews.

Tough times for Wazza and the Blues but he said when he got the job it's a 3.5 year project to get the Blues back where they belong and he's likely to need all of those 3 years.

The way Wazzock is carrying on he won't be there 3.5 MONTHS, let alone years!

Another shocker tonight. Brum were SIXTH when they got rid of John Eustace and now they're 16th! Although that's only seven points off sixth
