"Also, assuming they keep Caceido, he'll be fighting with him, Mwepu, Gross and Alzate, all a million times better than Gilmour. Plus they've got Moder coming back in the New Year and assuming his recovery goes well, that's another CM Gilmour is barely fit to lace the boots of, never mind displace in the pecking order."

He's forgotten Lallana in that assessment as well.

Will certainly be interesting where Gilmour fits in the pecking order.

It's really only Caicedo and Alexis in the midfield 2, which Gilmore will be competing for. The rest are typically all used further up in the midfield square that Potter uses.

And Mac Allister, who is the best midfielder at the club!

Hmmm. I see him as freeing up Ally Mac to push further forward. We miss the latter's goal threat IMHO

Or we're going to get lumbered with "der der der der Billy Gilmour" to that PigBag tune.

:lolol:

Can anyone name the golf course? That's a hell of a shot – the equivalent of Ulloa's penalty, but in a different direction!

This could work out a great signing, he’s so talented.

Billy Gilmour, welcome to the Albion :albion2:

So, from that showreel, he is:

Primarily right footed, but is also capable of passing well with his left
Really good in tight positions, and is strong on the ball
He loves a raking cross field pass a la Mac Allister
He has the same ability to nick the ball off the opposition like Biss / Caicedo
He's pretty quick with the ball

Lots to like.

You won't spot many tackles in Billy's highlights reel, more likely he will play further forward.

I'm assuming it's because he's move to one Albion – BHAFC – to another Albion – WBA.
I thought that's what Weststander meant in the first place

Maybe better in the tackle than I am giving him credit for, but nowhere near Bissouma or Caicedo ability to win the ball back, I am certain of that.
