What I meant was the undeniably rascist attitude that a lot of people in Britain have, often through no real fault of their own and, as I said, not because they are 'bad' or maliscious people. I don't know why we have it, we just do.

Equally problematic is the tendency to accuse anyone who dares criticise anything associated with a minority group of being a racist. The BNP have only risen because people countrywide are fed up with the PC nonsense that this government has allowed to spread with its idiotic schemes (or its failure to prevent such schemes, where they are created by local authorities)

if our education system is so bad then why do thousands of people from all over the world come here to study?

our exams are internationally reckonised as a good standard of education.

the main problem with this country is too many people are going to university and there are not enough apprentiships.

the best thing to happen is charging uni fees, that should make people think twice b4 taking stupid courses they have no chance in getting a job in and amassing a huge debt

Although I don't agree with the BNP, I would ask you to consider the following convictions against Labour party members, I think that it puts into prespective last nights programme on the BBC about the BNP and what is really wrong with this country.

Labour Party Criminals

SEX:

Labour Councillor (Newton Aycliffe) Martin Locklyn – Convicted and jailed for 15 years for sexually abusing 3 14-year-old boys. (2001)

Labour Councillor (North Lincolnshire) David Spooner – Convicted and jailed for 1 year for masturbating in front of 2 young boys.

Labour Mayor (Westhoughton) Nicholas Green – Convicted and jailed for 10 years for 3 rapes and 13 counts of indecent assault.

Labour Mayor (Todmordon) John Winstanley – Convicted and jailed for rape and threats to kill.

Prominent Labour Party activist Mark Tann (who has met Tony & Cherie at Party functions) recently got a 15-year sentence for raping a 4-year old girl on 2 separate occasions.

Labour’s current Parliamentary Candidate (Reading East) Tony Page – Has 2 Convictions for Acts of Gross Indecency` in public toilets.

Labour Mayor (Burnley) Mark Swainston – Convicted of sex offences in public toilet.

Entire Labour Party conspired to conceal the activities of Labour Party activist and serial child-molester Mark Trotter, who died from AIDS before he could be convicted.

Labour MP (Rhonda Valley) Chris Bryant poses in his pants on the Internet to advertise himself for casual gay sex encounters. Describes himself as “Horny as buggery” and says, “I'd love a good long f***”.

Labour MP Ron Davies was mugged by a Rasta on Clapham Common while cruising for gay sex. He was photographed again by the media recently, engaged in some `man-on-man` action in a field off a motorway. “I was only looking for badgers,” he said.

Labour MP (Sheffield), Clive Betts – Suspended from Parliament for 7 days after being caught forging immigration papers to extend the stay of his Brazilian rent-boy gay lover.

According to media reports, the names of 2 former Labour Cabinet Ministers said to be "Household names" appear on the `Operation Ore` list of subscribers to hard-core child pornography. The same FBI investigation, which led to the arrest of rock star Pete Townshend. So who are they Mr Blair?

VIOLENCE

Labour Councillor (Wales) Denis Jones – Convicted and jailed for unlawful wounding after attacking a neighbour with a sledgehammer.

Labour Councillor (Wales) Ken Brookman – Bit off a mans ear in a dispute over a seat on a train!

CORRUPTION

Labour Councillor (Sandwell) Mohamed Niwaz convicted of illegally obtaining £20,000 in Housing Grants.

Labour councillors in Doncaster – 23 Convicted and 2 jailed for massive fraud, corruption and theft of public funds. Investigation also uncovered massive Labour Party corruption in neighbouring Rotherham.

Labour Party Councillor (Blackburn), Mohammed Hussein – arrested together with 6 Labour activists on suspicion of Election rigging.

Labour Party Euro MP, David Martin is currently being investigated for an alleged expenses fraud involving `hundreds of thousands of pounds`.

OTHER

Tony Blair recently appointed his close friend/crony and colleague of his wife - Ken Macdonald as the new Director of Public Prosecutions, despite the fact he has a drugs convict.

Unfortunately, this is isn't going to happen - for the simple reason that the large majority of stupid courses are done by the 'new' students (the ones who account for much of the increase in student numbers), who are, generally, well off. The increases have not been attained by the widening of access, but the deepening of access. The intelligent poor have been going to university for years; now, however, the thick rich can go as well, through the provision of the idiots' degrees (management studies and the like). Thus, introducing student fees is going to make the situation worse, by cutting back on the numbers of intelligent poor going, freeing up yet more space for ever-thicker rich students.

TrevorDove - where did you get that information from? The BNP, by any chance? (before you answer, I did a google search, and it is only on their website, and other message boards which have copy-pasted it from the BNP's website).

OK, it may be true (although I tried to find out about the first two cases, and couldn't find anything). But, really, you could do that about pretty much any large organisation. It doesn't mean anything - you could do this with any political party, any large company's staff, even the supporters of a given football club.

If the BNP are suggesting the "let he who is without sin etc" method is the best way to deflect criticism, then you know they are struggling. It is always the final, pitiful tactic of the indefensible.

disagree, even poor students are thick and do stupid courses.

I have a friend who she has just taken her last Law exam, she is 16 grand in debt, but she knows she has worked hard and will have a good job once qualified.

too many people take pony courses such as media studies running up huge debts ,then they moan as they cannot find a job in media as there are limited places. end up working in offices doing run of the mill jobs.

I bet we all have a graduate working in our offices who has never worked in his degree field and prob never will. I know have!.

Of course there are one or two exceptions - I can't question that. You will notice I mitigated my statement with the word 'generally'.

But I have to teach some of these idiots, and I can assure you that the majority of bright students I get are from poor backgrounds and can tell me why they want to study; the majority of the idiots come from professional backgrounds and just shrug their shoulders when you ask them why they have come to university. It is this last lot we need to get out of the university system, or at least stop them from wanting to come in the first place; but tuition fees are going to make buggar all difference to that. Most of them come to university, in the final analysis, because their families expect their offspring to go to uni - able or otherwise.

Too many people

House prices too high

Lack of respect for other people

Traffic

Too much emphasis on people going to university - what's wrong with training plumbers, electricians etc?

Racism

Too much rubbish created

Just a few thoughts - not necessarily in order!

Science may have found a cure for most evils; but it has found no remedy for the worst of them all -- the apathy of human beings.

The fool that abolished competitive sport in schools. I think the ILEA was the first as they said it deprived the less able from taking part. How many referees were good players? The only ex players who go on to make refs etc is in cricket with the umpires. Still our National teams struggle as a result of this decision.

helped of course by all the loony right wing councils who sold off all the school playing fields in the 80s so that they could build shoebox houses on them aat a huge profit

I watched 'Wife Swap' on Tues night.

A materialistic working rich family VERSUS a basic re-cycling no electric, water etc family surviving on state benefits swap.

Whilst i admire the latter's intentions, i fully empathise with the formers arguement: "Why should we work our butts off so you can sustain your lives on the back of our taxes"

If the nomad willing family truly believed in living off the land etc. then why don't they live true to their beliefs & live in Somalia or Malawi?

But no, the state handouts are too handy.

"I am against capitalism......."; the nomad father said.

Mmmmmm...............???

That is such a shit argument - firstly, are you exempt from paying VAT and other non direct taxes if you dont work? No, i didnt think so.

Secondly, the environmentally concious couple could quite reasonably argue why are THEIR taxes (see above) being used to subsidise the wasteful and selfcentred way that that stupid womens and her family behave - Quote " I couldnt care less about recycling" She seemed to think a good way to raise a child was to sit it in front of the tele, pump it full of sugar and anything else artificial she could lay her hands on and ignore it. Plus she was verging on the obese, so will therefore use plenty of taxpayers money in the form of the NHS to get her treatment when she gets diabetes, high blood pressure etc

By the looks off shes got a long way to go to work her butt off - my guess is she sits on her fat arse eating cream cakes all day moaning about the state of the country which people like her are responsible for

i dont think its a bad point at all. Why do people who despise Capitalism so much stay here? Why not do a "Life Swap" with a Cuban? Its only with in the Social Democratic capitalist system we live in that people can sit on their arses and get paid by the state to do so. Go to Cuba or China and if your able to work, you go to work, end of. In most the rest of the world you have to graft 10, 12, 15 hours a day as a subsistance farmer rain or shine. If your lucky, Nike comes to town and you get to make trainers in a warehouse.

As for VAT and other taxes, firstly they wont pay for any utilities if they're on benefit and secondly you dont pay VAT on food or on cloths from Oxfam. So if you want to live as a green hippy commie then you dont have to pay any taxes.

Biggest bugbear. Simple. Adults who do not teach children respect. It appears already that there is little or no respect for people, property or values amoungst many young adults.

I take it you blame the Tories then, for all the ills of this country? ( no I am not one) (how many years since they left power?), I just wonder how many generations of Blair and the like this country will have to tolerate before we get completely smashed and swamped by political correctness.??

Well you keep ranting matey, the likes of you and The Fool Harris really fill me with confidence that the country is in safe hands under the Red Flag.
